Hi,I m looking for vintage seiko 6309-523a case or restoration.. do you have any idea, it has pin hole is slipped,, it's from my dad,, he wear it almost 40 + years.. I feel bad..So if possible I want it's case...can you help me to find?
You have to use a watch press. Push on the crystal from the front. It has a ring holding it from the inside of the case. To refit you have to reverse it. Put crystal in and then press the ring back on from inside the case. It’s a tight fit! This video is one of my first ever videos from 6 years ago. Surprised it’s still being watched .
Is that a steel case?? So you don't have to worry about removing a plating or veneer?? Also need to be careful not to round any of the square edges of the case, for example the top plane to a side plane. That case was designed to be very geometric with sharp right angles. A soft sanding surface could unintendedly round some of those edges.
Hello. I have i really similar watch. Same case reference. Could you please tell me how to remove the bracelet from the case? I am getting some difficulties in it and I want to be sure of waht I am doing, Thank you very much in advance
The bracelet is just held in with 10mm standard springars that you can access from the underside of the last link. If they are stuck then use some penetrating oil on them

Great job. I also going to restore watch case from a Seiko 5 and record a video, so your advice will be helpful.
Tricky to put the fine parallel scratches back in !! Great job !!

I just received one of these, my grandfathers watch. I don’t have a press atm so still trying to separate the glass from the case.
