The yarn used in this quilt is KPC Gossyp Chunky. There are 40 colors available of this gorgeous yarn! www.kpcyarn.com...
Yarn Amounts:
Main Color (Ivory in my blanket): 13 balls
Color 1 (I used Celery): 9 balls
Color 2 (I used Rosie): 5 balls
Border Color (I used Sunrise): 7 balls
The finished quilt is 60" square, (152 cm).
The needles used for this blanket are size 10.5 US (6.5mm) 24" circulars and 32" circulars. (You can knit the whole thing on 32" circulars, but if you have an interchangeable set, it is nice to work the mitered squares on the shorter cord, then switch to the longer cord for the border.) You will also need a needle one size larger (11 US, 8.0mm) for binding-off.

Your instructional videos are among the best on UA-cam. Thanks for being so thorough, clear and pleasant!
Glad to see you back in the studio. This looks like one of those afghans that are really easy but look like they were difficult. Can't wait for your next video. Love the colors you chose.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE KPC yarn, I highly recommend it! Glad your back girlfriend!
A very nice video to watch, thank you very much
It's beautiful! As always. I'm afraid I'll have to find a substitute yarn. At $438.26, before I even start the blanket, that's a bit steep. Though I would do Optic White, Polar, Aquamarine, and Midnight if I used Gossyp Chunky.
Laurelle Walsh, yes I did. I converted to USD. At $12.89 per ball, 34 balls of yarns, is $438.26 for the yarn.
It's $100 HKD per ball.
It's about $450 now. Definitely going to try using Yarn Sub to find a solid substitute yarn. The yarn shown may be decently priced on its own, but with how many you need it becomes pretty ridiculous :(
This is a beautiful blanket. Looking forward to knitting one.
That is beautiful!!!
Thank you so much for working out the details!
I always enjoy your videos!
You are so talented ... thank you.
Hello Staci! It's so nice you see you're back. How are you doing (health wise)?
Sending lots of hugs and good vibes 😘💋🍀✨
I'm doing much better, thank you for asking. :)
different kind of squares... I like it a lot
I thought this was an actual quilt video ha! However, I love this idea for knitting a blanket, very crafty 🤓
This is a really good design, maybe one day I'll get round to it!
Beautiful and thanks for sharing this. 438.00 for the yarn. Time to start saving.
Ooh, I'd love to knit this... Once I get confident enough to knit a whole blanket 😅

This looks amazing!!
it's so pretty!
beautiful. look forward to learning.
So cool that your nail polish is my name. 👍🏻😉
What a pretty pattern! I want to make a baby sized one. Any guidance on that? Thanks and I'm glad your eyes are better!
The pattern includes info on modifying the size. You'll see on April 19 when the free pattern is released!
I'm SOOOOO happy and thankful you washed and dried the yarn! I was wondering about that! About how much did it shrink? (Ballpark estimate?) Thank you for sharing the idea / pattern. It seems simple, because you explained it so well! I can't wait until next week!
That's a good question, I should have answered it in the video (didn't think of it!). It didn't shrink at all. Not only did I machine wash and dry it, I dried it on high heat to really put it to the test. No shrinking, no color bleeding. Some fibers did shed in the dryer that ended up in the lint filter, but not as much as I would have expected with a chunky cotton yarn.
Brilliant! I really appreciate your vigilant testing! Thanks for your quick reply!
I love this!
beautiful!
I've tried knitting in the round and I can't get to grip with it.... could this be done with straight needles? I love your patterns and ideas and would love to make this! x
Circular needles are only used for convenience in this pattern, it is knit flat, and you can use straight needles.
Inspired!
Question I’m doing the blanket but I’m doing it in a DK yarn did not want to chunky yarn I have A lot of space in the middle of the pattern can you help
If you're following the pattern, you will end up with a smaller blanket using DK weight yarn, that will be the only difference. If you have further questions, you can email me at staci@verypink.com. UA-cam doesn't always notify me of replies, so if you comment here, I may not see it.
