Hey friends! Today I'm taking you through my process of creating custom stickers using my Rollo wireless! If you don't care for my chattiness during the intro feel free to skip ahead to 2:47 for the run through!

When you type in the dimensions, Canva suggests a circle label. If you select this, it adds the circle guideline for you :) Also, you can use the "Position" settings to align things in the center without having to move them manually.

It does add a circle label, but when you download the sticker, the circle guidelines will disappear.

Oh no! Have you tried recalibrating your printer? Or reinstalling the printer driver? If it continues I would definitely reach out to Rollo for more support. They are very helpful.

Thank you so much! I just got my rollo for a Christmas present this past holiday and you explained it so awesome with canva!!! I used canva to design my label then just printed if with my laptop without canva printing! So cheaper and it's free!!!

Thank you for the video I do have a question. What if you have made a label from Canva and you only have a android phone ?
Do you have a Rollo wireless printer? If not you may have to purchase a USB adapter to connect your phone to the wired printer.

Thank you for this video. I am attempting to use my printer with 1.5” stickers for the tops of my loose tea containers. For some reason when I print, the stickers are misaligned. I have the guides pushed in to the sides of the paper. Any idea what I’m doing incorrectly?

Thank you for watching! Do you have your roll of labels on a label holder?
It would be nice to know what different size labels it can print. Why is it that I can't find a label maker online that will print a regular 7/8" by 3" with two or three lines? Even a 1" by 3" would be great! Is there a color option? Probable not.
Thermal printers can not produce color because they do not use ink. As for the size, the guides are 4" wide and can be adjusted down. If you can find thermal labels in the sizes you mentioned, you should be able to adjust accordingly.

Thanks for watching! Yes, you can import into Canva but keep in mind the Rollo is only a thermal printer so everything will be black once printed.
Hi! I loved the video! I just got stuck with the printing.. after I saved the png file I opened and went to print.. selected the rollo printer but I can’t change the size to 2x2 anywhere.. there are a couple options but the closest is 2x3 and I can’t actually manually type in.. not sure what else to do. Thanks so much!!!! Am I doing the printing part wrong! I think you just opened the png file and selected print right?

I actually tried this on the 2.25x1.25 and using canva pro. But then the whole design looks half the side of my label. Any tips?
When you go to print is the paper size on your printer settings the same size as the file?

I dont know why but my label keeps printing on multiple labels instead of just in the defined space. I followed your instructions to the T and it keeps printing the label on multiple pages! :( I'm using the Betcky 1.5 x .5" labels! HELP!

Thanks so much for this informative video! I've been worried about how interchangeable the stickers are with a different brand of printer - but it sounds like you were using a different brand of sticker with your Rollo printer. I have a similar style Itari printer and have been unsure whether to buy labels from other brands because it doesn't say anywhere that it's possible...but it should all be the same technology...right?
Rollo can use any thermal stickers luckily! But this may differ for other printer brands. For instance I've heard that Brother Thermal Printers may require proprietary stickers. So definitely double check!
is there a big difference between the Rollo and the Munbyn printer?
I've never owned a Munbyn so I can't say for sure. I love that Rollo has a full line of products to offer though!
When you opened up the design to print, did you open up the Rollo Printer Program? Also, how in the world do you add the dimensions in Rollo? My Rollo has standard dimensions in mm and none of them are for the 2-inch square. How do you add this dimension to have it to print?

4 x 6 labels to print " Thank you " on them.. by repeating at least 3x to fix on it.. I have created in Canva
the Thank you part. 3 just fits... downloaded jpg and png. Rollo does ot recognize it. I can print from my phone for labels.
I have a lot of 4 x 6 got them free. just want to use them for stickers.

@@ShesBasically You're so right - I realized it was "not" thermal. I did the scratch thing to be sure and yup that is why. I felt so silly cause I genuinely thought it was right. So I ordered correct ones off Amazon (lol). Gonna watch your vid again cause it was still helpful -thank you :)

Are you printing out of Canva or your Rollo app?
I'm printing from the Preview app in Mac that opens after clicking the saved file.
hi there!! I just found u and need to figure out these labels!! However, when you press print, my computer doesnt have any of the numbers yours has to change the sizes. It just has the regular diff paper sizes. Where do I get the small sizes?? thanx, Wendy :)
Hi!! May I ask what type of computer you have? I have a Mac.
May I ask if your printer sparks if you plug the the cord to the back of printer while in the on position? & is there a short delay when you cut the printer in? Thanks in advance
If the printer is powered on and then you plug it in, yes it may spark. Make sure you have it in the off position before connecting. Most electronics will do that if they are in the on position.

Thanks for watching! Just in black as it’s a thermal printer. To achieve white ink look you’ll have to do a black design and add white text over it. It’ll print the black portions and leave the “white” part blank. I hope that makes sense!

Are you guides pushed in enough? Try sliding them around for the right fit. If that doesn’t work I would contact Rollo asap. Their customer service is very helpful!

hi, question. i have two zebra zt410s that i got my hands on from eWaste and wanted to see if i can use them to start a mini sticker business. would printers like these be beneficial? it is thermal and would only be black ink pics. your input is appreciated!
Hi Edgar! Personally I wouldn’t recommend thermal labels for a mini sticker business due to the quality. You would likely have more success with full color stickers that can handle wear and tear.

No, thermal paper isn’t waterproof unfortunately.

What program are you in when you change size and hit print???? Or can anyone tell me what they’re using that worked. I’m using windows 10 and opening download of 2x2 sticker I made in Canva that I want to print but there’s no option to type in size, you can only puck from drop down menu and smallest size is 2” X 3”. Anyone else run into this or know what I’m doing wrong?
I have a Mac so I'm printing from the "Preview" app.

@@shifty1369 No worries! I wish I could help more! So on that screen I am changing the Mac's settings. The Rollo auto calibrates to the paper size as long as you have the guides pushed in correctly.
hi! what program are you using to print the labels? like what program did you pull up where you were able to change the label size? I dont have a mac book and my computer only has the 4x6 label option for sizing. UGH! Thank you!!!!
That was the screen that comes up after I select print. On a Mac the program is called preview. Do you have the proper driver installed for your printer? When you do it should allow you to change paper size. You may need to update the printer driver software.

Your design should be the same size as the labels. So I did a 2”x2” square then added a 2” circle as a guide for the design.
Hi, I just purchased the wireless rollo. How do you change the deminsions for different size labels? I only have 8.5 and 4x6
Hey! Does your printer actually have the new size loaded? My options list will usually expand once I load a new size into the connected printer. I also have an option to manually type in dimensions. I use a Mac computer.

Hi Tressa! You should be able to do this with any thermal printer but certain ones use proprietary labels so just double check your machine’s requirements. Rollos can take any thermal labels so I’m using some purchased from Amazon here.

IM HAVING A PROBLEM! I NEED HELP
Ok, after trying countless times, I cannot get mine to print (I have the same rollo printer as you). My design keeps printing across 3 stickers, no matter what I do. What are you using to actually open the image and print with? Mine won't let me resize it to 2in x 2in. :( It's driving me insane :(
I was going to say the sizing must be off. Do you have windows or mac? For Mac I open the image using Finder and hit Print - Select the Rollo and ensure it’s turned on and the paper size calibrated - Go to the drop down the paper size. If my size is not there I can click manage custom sizes to add it - on manage custom sizes click the plus mark to add the new size and click ok to save
@@ShesBasically So I'm using Windows, and it will not let me add a custom size to it. We tried using photoshop, but it refuses once again to print. I'm unsure if it's the rollo or the stickers at this point. :(

@@ShesBasically Actually, so I was able to get in touch with Rollo customer support and they did call me. The person was incredibly helpful and helped me fix the issue. :) I can print stickers now! yay! BUT, he told me of something pretty awesome. He said that Rollo has come out with their own Web Design app. It's pretty basic, but he told me they are actively working on it because they wanted to provide their customers something similar to Canva - so a really basic free version of a web design / sticker design thing. design.rollo.com/dashboard - you basically go there, sign into your rollo account and boom, start creating. And you can print directly from the wesbite instead of saving it to your computer. :)
Also, I know that might seem sketchy for me to say that, so you can go to rollo.com - sign in, go to your account page, go down to Launch Ship Manager - and start designing. :)

No, you should be able to make similar designs with the free version of Canva!
