Mr.Hrishikesh Mukherjee was a legend,,, my Father (Shri Amarnath Mukherjee),,, who is still alive at 89 years acted in his film Khubsoorat- 1980 as the elder brother of Rakesh Roshan & husband of Late Shashikalaji,,, it was a real great experience which Baba treasures till date.

Neither great philosophy nor rubbish glamour found in his films. Pure indianness and middle class touch conquered and satisfied people's hearts and minds. Great talent and humor Hrishi da ! ! Phenomenal personalty in the Indian cinema. Hrishikesh Mukherjee's intellectual abilities are simply matchless. He is immortal by virtue of his amazing sense of understanding complex human nature. Excellent . I love all his films. 🙏
The first time I saw the film Anand, I was a schoolboy. Till today whenever I remember that I find tears in my eyes this is the picture of Mr. H. Mukherjee touched me most. No need to describe his ability. Film creation on such touchy attitude of common people gave him that rare regard.

Superb video about Hrishida's journey of movies. 'Ashirwad' turned me his fan and saw all movies repeatedly several time up to his last one ' JBKK' of 1998. His movies possess strong sense of humor and morality. He is the best and very sucessful story teller of hindi film Industry. Besides so many meeting in Kolkata, last was in 2002 in his Mumbai resistance. At 61, I remember him with full of tears. Missing him badly.

I have been an ardent fan of Hrishi sir's movies and glad to see someone has made efforts to describe and present his life & film journey in front of the audience. I wanted to refer to few movies mentioned in this video which were ideally not directed, produced or edited by Hrishi sir for e.g. Choti si baat, Baaton Baton mein..these movies were directed by Basu sir (Basu Chatterjee)...just felt like mentioning this as actual credit for the above mentioned movies should be given to Basu sir or should not be included here to avoid confusion. However, it's an amazing & impressive video so keep up the great work.

My all time favorite film of Hrishida is Asli naqli. The subject, the performances of Dev Anand and Sadhana in the middle class roles are very natural. Words will not not enough to appreciate the eternal music of S.J.

He was a truly an entertainer and always made films with characters resembled to characters prevailing in society. As you have said he had the guts of playing Dharmendra in a comedy role in Chupke Chupke which no one could match in Hindi cinema. Also, Amitabh Bachchan played roles contrary to his angry young man image those days in Abhimaan, Bemisaal, Jurmana, Mili and so on. Hrishi da was unparallel.

I have seen three of his films, Rajnigandha, Chotisibath and Chitchor. I like him very much as a Director of middle class movies. He even edited our malayalam, pan Indianmivie, Chemmeen.
