I drift in my kayak on the Potomac with suspended baits and it always produces. Went out yesterday and caught around 30 blues. Biggest was only 16lbs but was still a fun day. Used cut bluegill.
Are you not having to burp these fish after pulling then up from deep water? I once heard any fish caught from 40 feet down or more needed to be burped
Good video, I got to start doing that in the lake. Cats around here (the eater one)love chicken 10 to 1 over cut bait , not sure on big ones though I haven’t caught a really big one yet, I’m do
I tried it for years, and while I would occasionally catch fish on it, I’ve caught far more fish on cut bait than on live bait when fished side by side.
That dark color was awesome!

That Dam Bite!!
Awesome !!
This technique is my favorite, nothing like suspended bait takedowns
Nice fat blues and a good channel cat ! 👍👍
Great video, sure was some nice eaters.
Those blues are well fed.

100’ water 35’ down there in the bait line
I bet you're a lot of fun to fish with.

Dang, my lake averages about 5 foot deep. Couple holes at 15' to 18' but they're only reachable from boat. it's a 3000-acre lake but shallow.
Great fishing Dieter, on that dark blue you got, whats some telltale ways of knowing its a male or female fish?
Tails and anal fins
Bringing fish up from that deep, do you need to deflate the bladder?
I never see you use live bait, is there a reason??

What time of day was this?
