Great video covering all I needed to know within 15 minutes without the B.S.!
We use Gripples every day in our fence contracting, and stock them in our store, as well. We consistently put over 200kg of load on Medium Gripples without any failure.(See videos for actual proof) We have annual temperature variations of up to 150 degrees F, so expansion and contraction are a real concern. Excellent I use hundreds a year with the ght 8-80-22 estate netting. Don't really rate the blue end caps stock rub them and they foment off leaving wire ends sticking out
Those T gripples look an expensive way of doing what can be done with fencing staples for pennies. But I'll swear for the tenacity and reliability of gripple tensioners, and cost-wise they're a damned-sight cheaper than conventional inline tensioning systems. I only wish there were a release system for if an installation mistake has been made....it's not tidy to have to cut the gripple out then graft in a new piece of wire to make length back up.
Hi Niall, thanks for your feedback, we always value it and we're always looking at ways to improve. The T-Clip's higher price point is offset by the time savings made when using them therefore saving money that way round.
And what do you think happens when they decide to fail due to time and weather, and they do fail. If you are going to use them you have to, at a minimum, tie them off correctly with several wire twists along the existing wires. It is cheaper and just as effective, albeit a little more time, to use crimps. And even those I still tie back.

We use gripes also and can swing a sledge that buck can't tornado wire has gripples as standard on sheep roles a courtesy set off gripple tool would be nice

Hi Jonathan, we launched Gripple Plus some years ago now as our best ever range of tensioners for fencing. The main change we made to the product was adding ceramic rollers as the gripping mechanism inside, which gives optimum grip on HT wire in all weather conditions. Hope this helps!
I use Gripple but I don't trust cable ties because they break down from UV light. It seems unprofessional. And I use a gripple "contractor" which I've been told with its lack of a tension gauge can cut your hand off if you over tension the wire. So I'm always a bit careful.

Other than a few quibbles it really is quite impressive what you can do with a cam. Gripples are like a Petzl GriGri for cows, but thankfully they're not French.
I can see middle eastern interrogators using these around various body parts of prisoners to obtain information --very useful... is there a way to back them off if you don't want the prisoner to die? Or your brother from a dysfunctional family sticks his finger in the works while you're tensioning?
