Whoever brought these two together for RocKwiz was a genius - theirs is such an unusual, unexpected combination not just of vocals but of styles, even cultures (seemingly) - and it produced the most perfect harmonic experience. I could listen to this over and over again. Great performance.
This is by far my favorite duet of this song now. Awesome. I favor this over Krauss Plant for the tempo, feeling, spontaneous expression and the total involvement playing instruments. Absolutely love it. For solos of this song I have Chris Smither as my favorite. His studio version is riveting. I couldn't find the studion version here. But there is a live version of him doing it in Paris here on youtube. Well worth checking out esp if you like acoustic guitar. Kudos to Dan and Liz!
This is a beautiful rendition of the song. It also strikes me that this girl's most beautiful guitar playing is what helps Gibson sell more of their electric guitars.
You absolutely nailed this song..y'all are really good..no doubt about it..I'm already listening the third time..I have subscribed..thanks...I can't get enough of your version
Oh....my....God.... This is absolutely beautiful...your version of this song. I didn't think anyone could come close to the amazing Krauss and Plant version. You two make this so light and dreamy and just simply divine. One of my favorite songs. Love your voices together. I cannot say enough good things. Who are you? Where can I hear you perform? THANK YOU for sharing this. Please keep singing.
Dan and Liz are just great. But I don't think Dan knows of his partner's incredible talent. Liz is an internationally acclaimed musician. Her exceptional talent is highlighted in this duo. Guitarist extraordinaire. Listen to that guitar sing. And vocals. This is close to rivaling the Great version of John Prine's. JP had wonderful back up singers, organ, and saxophone that ultimately makes it the best yet.
I keep coming back to this song over and over
What a GREAT rendition.
fantastic version
Oh wow how many times over the years have I come back to this clip... Best version ever.. Got me through some rough nights

Simon Hitch great comment!!
A Stunning performance.
Better than the original. (Rowland Salley)
Reminiscent of Gramm Parsons and Emmy Lou Harris’ vocal harmonies
This is the only way this song should be performed. Superb.
Who are these guys?
The guy who wrote the song!
John Prine has no rival...

Think he regrets the Shirt now.....
Why? Any idea what you are talking about? Seven years give you any enlightenment?
