is the desire from author of A Song of Ice and Fire to have more than the concluded 8 seasons
of Game of Thrones.

I hated how Cersei blew up a beloved queen and their entire faith and seized the throne after her son somehow conveniently died during this tragic day, and yet the people were like, "Margaery who?" And went on about their lives 🤣🤣
@Benjamin David Lurie Japanese, and WTF does that have to do with Cersei 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ TF 🤣
@@King_Steffon_II lol.. people are weird
In reality, this would’ve resulted in the GOT equivalent of The French Revolution.
@@gfilmer7150 in the books, Aegon will most likely depose Cersei after the Great Sept explosion
@@nochillwill5903 I know, and he's a great opposition to both Queens (Dany and Cersei) as a heroic young man who is prestigious enough to be back by Lords like Randyl Tarly but humble enough to win over the people of King's Landing. The show lost one of the most interesting conflicts by cutting his character.
I think Aegon has to be in the story because he gives Varys a motivation other than just keeping the realm peaceful. Ilyrio should have been in the story as well.
Faegon is kind of a b plot though.
Hes just there to be the mummers dragon.
He will probably linger in the stormlands for a bit until danny arrives and have a battle where he is revealed as a blackfyre then killed.
@@hsgame4088 Its a possibility, but kind of a waste. I would much rather have it if Jon and Aegon joined forces and met up with Danny on Dragonstone. Then they would all go north to stop the long night from occurring and Azor Ahai would be revealed. I personally think its Danny and I think she'll give up her life for Westeros. Then it would be kind of ironic at the end as Westeros would basically be run by mostly bastards, which could be a cool final message. But this is just my head cannon lol.
Exactly, the writers really made a mistake by cutting out fAegon
@@jovjov223 well he is not necessarily a Targareon. He may be a blackfire(acc to theories) and we could get a final battle between Targareons and Blackfires.
@@hsgame4088 Linger in The Stormlands? He’s probably gonna take King’s Landing remove House Lannister from power. So when Daenerys arrives in Westeros, Aegon’s gonna be on The Iron Throne with Dorne and Randyl Tarly backing him, and loved by the people of King’s Landing as their savior. This would work for The Mad Queen arc instead of Cersei Lannister who committed a literal terrorist attack on the people of KL.
The absence of the Tysha’s confession and the absence of the revelation of Lady Stoneheart started the slow downfall of the show

I wanna live long enough for GOT reboot but done with justice
Hear ! Hear ! 👏👏
It's likely going to come out before A Dream of Spring, and this is not a joke.
They should just remake it as an animated show.
It has to be animated, The actors are too old and went on with their lives and people would never accept new actors
Paul Herrera-Unpopular opinion, but I didn't hate the ending as much as everyone's supposed to. I was just happy Danaryes didn't get the iron throne. I would have hated that.
I really think you needed Aegon and Lady Stoneheart, tbh. Some people complain about them, especially Aegon, coming out of nowhere but I'm reasonably certain that this isn't actually the case and George probably introduced them to solve some problem he was having. And I think a lot of the bad writing of later seasons can at least in part be traced back to removing them. For example, I suspect that Daenerys burning King's Landing will be in response to Aegon claiming it and being cheered on as the true Targaryen heir while in reality being a Blackfyre. I think that will make Dany snap and that without Aegon you cannot actually have this important point in Daenerys' character arc happen. And it seems that Brienne becoming a mostly useless character after season 4 and Jaime not progressing was at least in part because Stoneheart was gotten rid of. I don't think any of these major elements could've been removed without doing irrepairably damage to the story and as such I think in a 10 season version of Game of Thrones they should have been included.
I agree with you about fAegon. His role in the story I am sure is going to push Dany over the edge when she is in Westeros. After Cersei blows up the sept in the show, you would think that Kings Landing would revolt against her since she blew up the equivalent of the Vatican. The circumstances at Daenerys arrival to Westeros should have worked better in her favor but they didn’t. It makes more sense for the people of Kings Landing and Westeros to be happy with fAegon and not want Daenerys. With the mummers dragon vision she has in the book, Daenerys will know that fAegon isn’t real but she will come off paranoid and like a usurper when she tried to tell people he is fake. I’m sure in the books this is what is going to drive her to extreme measures that will lead to her downfall. She will get rid of the threat but at a terrible price. That could also be how she loses a dragon- in an attempt to show how he isn’t a real Targaryen, she may tell him to ride a dragon and he’s able to and they fight and she ends up killing him and a dragon.
Catelyn Stark's actor was so good it's a straight up crime that we didn't get zombie catelyn, she was one of those characters who's flaws were translated so well into the story and still made me enjoy the scenes with her.
I had this question actually. Game of Thrones: good ending. The show had 10 seasons and would've completed last year or this year being the greatest tv series in history. also breaking and setting a lots of records. S5 would've been the least favourite season. A great decade of tv thus being over.
What type of records? Some shows have gone on for like 20-30 seasons, lol.

One thing that needs to be fixed for sure is the complete assassination of Stannis' character in Season 5. My man in the books is about to attain victory over the Boltons and take over the North as King with Rikon potentially installed as his puppet in Winterfell. Then there's of course Littlefinger and his whole struggle for power in the vale with Sansa under his care.
I kinda did not like that Stannis' character died I got that it was a tragic ending but when I saw his army gone and him the last man standing I was hoping he'd live a low life and slowly rise back into power
This issue isn’t just D&D wanting a life. Some of the actors wanted out too. They didn’t want to put 15 years of their life into it. It happens with most shows. I really hope in 20 years we get a reboot and have them do en epic job. Perhaps by then there will be virtual reality TV and we can watch it as if we are there. We can dream. Imagine how good the cgi will be then too.
yeah, you can tell that some of the actors were pretty done with their characters and only being known for that one role.
honestly i would've been down for like a year hiatus where no filming is done just so the actors can have a chance to take a breather, also gives more time for pre-production in the background
@@cooki3th1ef I do know some of them who wanted to leave them behind say Arya (maisie williams) now dont mind returning back. Honestly no show has had as PERFECT casting imo
@@cooki3th1ef They should’ve done that and created a prepared plot line with the ending so they could be sure how many seasons the show would have.
After that, the show-runners tell the actors that for sure the 10th season of the show would be its last and if they could stay until then. It’s prepared. Everyone’s on board. Then they just focus on the rest.
But to do that it requires taking one of the most successful TV show of all time more seriously.
They didn't have to take all the responsibility for themselves. They could have easily switched showrunners, as is the case for a lot of shows. Instead, they're selfish jerk-offs who didn't care about the show past the 4th season, only to keep all the credit and praise to themselves.
And now look where some of these actors are....they've taken a few crappy movie roles and now their careers will die. Should have stayed.

Nice video. The 2 seasons of fighting and surviving white walkers sounds fantastic. I would've loved to see that. If I had known this show would end as it did I would've never bought the Blu-ray set.
The truth is that eventhough as a standalone cinema piece Season 4 is one of the best if not the best season of GoT it's the season that doomed the next seasons of the show because D&D cared only about the story till the death of Tywin so they never cared to introduce the pieces that go the story further. Thats why they decided to name the series Game of Thrones after all. There is no Tysha scene, no Asha Greyjoy storyline, no Tyrell brothers, no Lady Stoneheart, na Daenerys visions, no proper Northen and The Reach house introductions, no proper Euron Greyjoy and Martel introductions etc. Even Bran was whitewashed. Bran in the books is evolving into a far darker character with different motives.
I hope House of the Dragon doesn't cut plots from Fire & Blood, it's the only way to get it right & to have more decent seasons.
They're aiming for about 3 to 4 seasons. Plus the writers seem to know what they're doing. I think they'll pull this show off properly.
We would see a lot more characters and a much more in depth plot. Stannis might have even come out on top

What if George actually finished the GODDAMNED BOOKS before they ran out of content to adapt? Why blame Dumb and Dumber if we all know they can't write for shit? Blame ole procrastinating George for not finishing his decades long story in time.
They abandoned the plotlines that were there in the books too. So don't be so stupid to blame GRRM whose established context was abandoned.
You try and write a book with a super complicated plotline that has to appease millions of readers with a thousand pages. At 73 years old with a million other projects you are working on at the same time. It was not his fault that HBO couldn't just hire some competent producers when they ran out of material from ASOIAF to work with.
he is working on it the best he can let him finish to what he thinks is a satisfying ending
They had plenty enough material to use without having to rush to the end. Hollywood kept him from finishing by making deals for more shows, having him write an episode per season and constantly interviewing him. He became a celebrity after this show. I blame Hollywood. I would gladly give up this show's existence if we could get books 6 and 7 instead.
@@smokysnow5794 No. He isn't working on it the best he can. He could have written a page a day and been done with it 5 times by now. It's his fault that all his fans are upset and waiting for the 2 decade long project to be finished. He set the bar, he told us multiple times it would likely be done by X date or Y date only to still be in the same status 5 years later! It's his fault he takes on 5 million projects at once that eat up his time. He DOES owe it to us at this point, because he has PROMISED IT so many times over the years. We have patiently waited WAYYYY beyond expectations, and he still just treats us like crap by not finishing what he promised us. We have spent money and invested our time and love into this project he promised us, just to be let down.

But when Jon Snow cameback he wasnt himself... Did you see Season 7 and 8? He only said about 17 words...smh
Aegon's story is gonna be the very thing that drives Dany to burn King's Landing. You can't have that with Cersei in Aegon's place. So he's kind of important to Dany's endgame.
ok we can do two things, reboot season 7 & 8 with the same cast and act like those two seasons didn't happen OR make an animated series

honestly, they could have done like 15 seasons there was MORE than enough content, they skipped a bunch of major plotlines but D&D were not competent producers and honestly just lazy
It woulda been better if HE FUCKIN FINISHED THE BOOKS.
See I do love when George RR says there could have been like 13 seasons and that there was plenty of plots lines... I kinda disagree, unless a season or two just left certain characters behind - like season 5, if they included Dorne more book accurate, there would be tones more new characters to follow, which isn’t a bad thing - but then once say the plots like Cersei’s and Jon’s catch up with the book, what happens then as he still hasn’t finished them. I defo think they should have been more book accurate - but I also don’t fully know how they’d keep us with certain other plots and characters we’ve grown to love.
I see why create and i click
He does really brilliant videos
Doesn’t matter how many seasons the show ran for. D&D would have trashed it. They should of handed the show over once season 4 ended.
Great video as always.
Nah. They are amazing at adapting existing source material. Which is why we got rhe masterpiece which is season 1-4. Incidentally, that is where the source material ends.
@@ThePremierAlan so basically the same thing the guy said?
@@ThePremierAlan Honestly, they were always pretty terrible at adapting the source material. They fucked up a lot early on... ex: Dany crying while being raped in the first episode, taking away all the Stark children's warg abilities (except Bran of course), adding so many extra scenes at the brothels, making Robert's death seem like a big coincidental accident instead of a conspiracy, etc... And as the show went on, it got worse: having Jaime rape Cersei, removing the Tysha reveal, the Craster's Keep storyline in season 4, the Theon torture porn, removing LADY STONEHEART (which I've heard is the real reason GRRM stopped writing episodes every season)... And that was all before Season 5's butchery of Littlefinger/Sansa, Jon, Dany, and DORNE or Season 6's butchery of the Greyjoys. They did a great job with some of it. The cast and the music are impeccable. Catelyn seizing Tyrion in Season 1 will always give me chills and Ned's execution scene is really great, as is the Battle of Blackwater, but the show overall really is worse than people remember, even the first few seasons.
@@mackherren1373 You literally cant fit every single story line in the books into the show. Its just impossible. One thing i so agree with is the Tysha confession. The thing about Rickon is, he's probably not very important in the long run. Shaggy dogs name is likely a reference to a term in English literature referring to an unimportant character with no meaningful arc. That's the best I can articulate it it off the top of my head. But u get the basic point. If u pick any 6 siblings in any universe it's highly unlikely all of them have independent arcs. Is it that unbelievable that only 5 of 6 siblings have unbelievable adventures & that the youngest little child was the least interesting?
i think there is a difference between characterization and a proper character arc. rickon could've atleast been set up as SOMEONE, instead of popping up out of nowhere and dying. we couldn't even sympathize with jon's charge, because we really didnt care about rickon.
@@Nadia-rh4kq u needed to even know reckons name to sympathize with our main characters child sibling dying in front of him? We didn't need more for that moment than " u guys love Jon right? Jamie has to kill Cersei. Him hearing about her doing the very thing that he stopped the mad king from doing would be the catalyst for him seeing she was too far gone. Or even another scene where Cersei is going to use wildfire when Dany comes is what drives Jamie to kill the mad queen just like he did with the mad king. To save the city. Him being mortally injured when he does it is okay, but he needs to be the one to off Cersei. Him going to kill Cersei should be the only reason he leaves Brienne. Not wiping away all of his development thru out the series. I understand him not wanting Cersei to die alone so he could stay with her even if it causes his own death from her queen’s guard, but he should have put the knife in her. Which I think they didn’t do because they had Jon and Dany go that route, but I think a dragon battle or something else would work for them or maybe not kill Dany have her showing signs of madness but still left to rule…

Majestic. Loved it.
Personally I am one of those people who are satisfied with the bittersweet ending, but all the rushing killed the atmosphere. You presented a wonderful guide on how it should have been done. I have 2 observations to make and I am not criticizing your work or something.
One thing that I would argue about is the Night King. For sure a villain with no personality is boring, but we also need to understand that this type of villain projects fear. Fear of the unknown. If you remember from LotR Sauron was a villain that we never get to actually see him in action, having his lackeys doing his tasks and it worked pretty well. We could have main characters turning to zombies, even more Coldhands stuff, a better Brandon arc, but I think the Night King should be silent and menacing. He could work through various ways, but since only Bran can communicate with him, we could learn from Bran his moves (as happened in the show).
However, that doesn't mean he doesn't get to have a personality. Since he is NOT the last villain, he could reach up to half season 10. He shouldn't overrun the whole Westeros, although I would LOVE to see the Dead approaching King's Landing, but the name Winter-fell sound so poetic and I think it has a role to play in the books too. That said if the WW overrun most of Westeros, I'd say that they should be stopped near the Isle of Faces. Personally I think that since we get all these Weirwood symbolism, the Night King's goal should be something like the island of Faces. That's my 2 cents about his arc. He needs to have a goal, maybe faint signs of personality through Bran's visions, but not big plan reveals and schemes. Our protagonists make assumptions based on his actions ("He wants to bring about the Endless Night"). But I think it should be something else. Only that we can never understand what it is, up until the very end.
And finally, about Aegon the Imposter. You're right about Lady Stoneheart, but I think Aegon's arc would give more life to the show and actually make LORD VARYS a more competent character. He could still jump from one leader to another. If he sees that Dany doesn't fit him he could just go to his other "friends" and play there. Moreover, with Aegon we would see a competent Golden Company and more plot to the southern Westeros and King's Landing and another faction that could potentially interact with the other characters. I am aware of how his story may end, but it would spice things up in the rather most boring regions of the show.
Oh and after Cercei blows up the Tyrells, the Tarlys should be FAR MORE ACTIVE. This was just pathetic.
It wouldve been good to see when the lannisters also defends the north with the starks against the wights but they lost and had to retreat to the Vale where the next battle happens. Then during the battle in kings landing Cercei would be trapped in the throne room and kingsguards fought and killed as many wights they can kill but they were overrun cercei tried to escape but ends up running into more wights. Dany will arrive with her dragons and burns kings landing to rid of wights. The other forces kept retreating up to almost making it to Dorne where they make their last stand. Battles would be all over westeros. Olenna locked up in highgarden would drink a poison as she sees highgarden got breached by the wights and started slaughtering everyone. Whitewalkers is split to different kingdoms fighting houses and one by one dies until only the night king is left and the final battle by the sands where Jon and his forces finally win the 1st time and pushes back the night king forces up to storms end or dragonstone. I think it would be a more epic battle than what we got 🤷♂️
it would’ve been interesting for season 4 to include jamie revealing the tysha twist to Tyrion and tyrion becoming basically evil like he is in the books. evil and chaotic tyrion would actually contribute to the story, and cause huge consequences to Westeros if he was like his book self and not doing nothing like he does from season 5 onward
I feel like it would have been fitting for the Free Folk to take residence at some of the unmanned castles on the wall, cooperating with the Nights Watch. Some of them would of course head beyond the wall, where no man is king. Lastly, some take up residence in the North, occupying lands of the Houses that betrayed the Starks and/or got completely wiped out during the Long Night. It's not like the North doesn't already have Free Folk: the northern mountain clans and the Skagosi
I agree with some of what you said. However, if you didn’t see Dany doing this from the beginning, you’re blind.
Doing what? Ignoring Cersei and killing literally everyone else besides her for literally no reason?
I can see her doing terrible thnings with justification. Ex: killing tons of people if it actually gives her an upper hand and brings her closer to a goal or helps her achieve what she believes to be the greater good. Killing thousands of innocent and helpless people who already surrendered to her makes no sense based on her characterization. It's something (book) Euron would do. What would make more sense is her killing tons of people who actively defied her (especially nobles! not peasants!!). It would still be cruel and show how power has changed her over time, especially if she has to kill people who are essentially good but just on the opposing side, but it wouldn't destroy her character arc just for the sake of being shocking. If Dany is going to be a genocidal maniac, I need a lot more character development first - more than the death of Missandei, who they didn't even show bonding with Dany or being a significant part of her life in the episodes leading up her death. If Missandei's death is enough reason for Dany (who constantly fights other nobles for the sake of commoners) to torch a city, you think she'd go for the one who actually killed her and not the poor people who just happened to live there....
You make excellent and important points...
I think it would be better if the white walkers would get further south w
By breaking the wall with magic and we can have viserion to die in the battle of winterfell that could make evey fighter loose hope and flee amd then the night king can have a dragon and the long night could grow longer
Dude, this was really great!
Alternative title: What if GOT was good
So did you hate it seasons 1-6?
Or did seasons 7-8 hurt you so bad youve now decided you have to hate it all?
@@MrTotalAhole I mean yeah. All that setup and no payoff
@@raaaaaaaaaam496 I get it, when I rewatched recently I was a little depressed because...well you know.
But seasons 1-5 is still some of the best TV out there.
@@MrTotalAhole Seasons 1-4: yes. Season 5: Definitely not. It's Season 8 level bad.
You can't cut Stoneheart and Aegon.
Stoneheart will probably participate in the Red Wedding 2.0 Frey Edition
And more important and believe in the books she will be the one to tell Arya to abandon the path of vengeance or else she becomes like her, not literally but you get it and she concedes the gift of Mercy to Stoneheart.
Aegon will probably be a important part on why Dany goes apeshit on King's Landing, Cersei Blews up the Sept, Aegon takes over, Jaime kills Cersei.
They needed the real Stannis and his storyline.
Battles of Deepwood Motte and The Ice in full.
SPOILERS FOR TWOW::
Love the video but I disagree with you. The Dornish plot is going to intertwine heavily with fAegon. I think Season 5 would have been great to introduce Dorne and play out Arianne's plan as well as having Tyrion run into JonCon and fAegon. Season 6 could have Doran sending Arianne to Meet with fAegon and have them seazing the throne from Cersei/High Sparrow with Nymera's help. I could see fAegon being a major plaer for when Dany comes for the throne.
I agree with most of the points made. However one thing I don’t agree with is that the night king is boring without character. The whole appeal and terror of the Night King is there isn’t any personality simply a cold , frozen demon hell bent on destruction-outside of logic. By trying to characterise the night king and develop his character outside of lore I believe would take the terror away from the night King and the fear of the unknown he inspires.
I am sure that in a few decades their will be a new show
YES LITTLEFINGER ON THE THRONE FUCK YEAH!!!
This is what happens because GRRM don't wanna write the damn books.
What if GOT was 10 seasons as planned. Well we wouldn't get that rushed bullshite ending for starters.
For me I've written off the last season and waiting till the book FINALLY😪 drops.
Here is a good what if
I’m reading game of thrones for the 3rd time and wondered what if Ned allowed sir Lawrace Tyrell to go after the mountain??? Maybe with the might of high garden behind him??? Just a thought. How would the brotherhood have come to be???
After season 8, I started watching reviews and summaries of the books, and read the 3 Dunk and Egg Graphic Novels, and realised they BOTCHED The Golden Company, Bittersteel was turning in his grave seeing how DnD massacred his boy
Funny how he left the show to finish the books and we still don't have em🤣
I am trying to rewrite the last season but fix some flaws in the other seasons however I’m trying to keep things pretty similar and for me I’m sticking to eight seasons and as for the night kings fate He dies in the sword fight Jon Snow while longclaw is on fire
I always thought the burning of Kings landing should have gone like this:
Team Lanister:Hearing how Dany freed savesdand cares about small folk would place ballistas i side the city close to civilians(maybe even chain people to them to make sure civilians cant hide) and not just on tha walls of the city.
Dany: Sees people near balistas so she doesnt destroythe ones thatwould resultin civilian casulties.
War:The city ball, stas manages to keep Drogo at bay so the war turns into a tradational army vs city fight but Danys side are losing cause they tired from the Long(not really) Night and they dont have Drogo backing them
Dany: Seeing her sidelosing (and maybe a balista almost killing Drogo) and not wanting to lose anyone else she cares about Dany starts attacking the city to destroy the balistas. Since most of the city nad balistas this kills hundrets of thousands. Later she doesnt regret her choice saying"It was necessary" and "They were in the way." and "I know whats best and what I did was for the best"
I haven't got a problem with all the character's endings tbh, it's just the way it got there in a rush from ep4 to ep7 lol i loved the 1st 3 episodes and if it was a 10 ep season it would of been perfect! Jon Snow should of had a 1v1 with the Night King tho 🤦🏽♂️ lol
Bronn being master of coin, he's going to rob the place blind 😅
This is pretty much my thoughts on the final season too
That's such a normie, silly, un-nuanced view of the show.
@@Divinemakyr You want me to write a essay about it here?
@@asadrazzle1859 Go ahead. Write me 1,000 words describing why Jon having a 1v1 duel with the Night-King makes sense. I mean, it can be done well, maybe.
I think Jamie can still go back to cerci to show that he is floored. If they’d gave him enough time with him being on the “good “side but he still wanted to die with his twin it could have been really good
I think if Martin ever finishes the books, Jamie will kill Cercei. "the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you." Of course "Jamie" could be Arya.
I kinda think it was good to cut Lady Stoneheart from the show. I think there are too many resurrections
You are a true fan. It should have been written by you or at least managed. Would remind me of how Jon Favreau a true fan of Star Wars and marvel wrote some of the best interactions in those universes
I’m hoping HBO do an animated retelling once the books are out. Would be cheaper than refilming and easier to higher impersonators and use the original actors’ likenesses.
No game of thrones was actually originally planned to have only 7 seasons even as far back as 2013/2014.
You can check this out in an Entertainment Weekly Article/ interview by James Hibberd with the showrunners D&D..it’s titled “7 seasons is the plan”
Sad shame UA-camrs put out misinformation like this
Even the actors that openly spoke up about their shitty writing towards the end got killed off like ser barristan
Personally I think if they had lost interest or just didbt know what to do after running out of source Material they should of asked for help or passed it on .But NO they thought of themselves 1st!!! s)So they cut it short in regards to SEASONS & Episodes and jsut to get in with their new project's. Which is fine ,,best of luck to them I thought at the time .But still as I said if that was the case get others involved No rush it and kill it and take what was an INCREDIBLE TV show and take it to the depths of Horseshit.Poor GrrM ..His loves worked murdered..literally. I mo they deserve the shit they get!!!
If only :(
I hate that D&D were too self-important to hand the show off to someone else. It's terrible that someones personal whims can completely destroy a show and change the course of entertainment history.
R R was dragging his ass since the ending of season 5!!!!!
Unpopular opinion, but I didn't hate the ending as much as everyone's supposed to. I was just happy Danaryes didn't get the iron throne. I would have hated that.
They were longer episodes in the final season?
Yeah
@@ashutoshporichha7623 Seemed like they were the same. Disappointed they weren't all 2 hours.
Jeyne Westerling and Poole and all of Dance
S5 and 6 are basically the same. S7&8 well...
This would have been so epic. Fucking Dave and Dan...
Except for Balon, Rob, Joffrey and Ned, everyone's stories are opened ended in the books.
Everyone blaming this and that, but if George had finished the damn books it would have been much better. MAybe in 10 years they will do a reboot like the superman movies, 3 different reboots/times they showed him coming to earth crash landing then saving this new dad by lifting the car off him.
