Yes, Eddie. I lost my ATM card in Sri Lanka. Luckily I had a fair amount of cash in American dollars that would get me by until I got a new card sent to me. I was able to make arrangements through my credit union/bank where I've had an account since 1995. They charged me twenty bucks for the service. I had it sent to my guest house in Sarnath where I was sitting at breakfast two weeks later when the India Post man walked through the door asking for me. They have a machine at my credit/union that can make new cards on the spot.

Sorry to hear your bank did that to you. That's messed up. We have credit cards with our bank but don't trust them at all. Especially trying to use them in other countries.

@@WITYTRAVELS I'm staying away from getting a new credit 💳 card. I'm sticking to my guns now regarding not being a slave to anymore new debts and getting rid of the old ones for good like you guys did last year.

The problems I have had with banks are too numerous. I'm now waiting for my second card to arrive as the card they sent me 4 weeks ago wasn't recognised in shops.

That rots. What a pain! We had our house broken into 3 business days before going to Costa Rica. They stole everything. Passports, tax returns, credit card information, and more. We canceled everything but Skymiles so we could get to New Orleans for emergency passports and had new credit cards sent express. We carry multiple cards because we were down to our last card trying to get gas in the French countryside once. We got lucky, and the last card was accepted. 🥵 🎉 You have to be careful with currency exchange charges now, too. Different companies have different rates and charges. It didn't used to be that way.

@@easystreetwithjen That's a bummer Jen. Was this break-in in Georgia? I've never had any of my homes broken into.

@sevenfiftynorton Yep yep friend. It was that bank'$ fault outright and they never owned up to it. A cloud has a silver lining and thus one says it's a good thing you don't have one 💳 anymore. Now you can work on becoming free from bank debt. I'm pushing hatd forward ⏩ with no effort.
