Dear Alina, thank you very much for your amazing work! All your videos are great and it shows how talented and intelligent you are! I am an Albanian in Canada and can't thank you enough.
Alina, nice shout out to Bald and Bankrupt when you came across the bunker. Yours and his channel are my favourite UA-cam travel channels by far, each for its own reasons. Welcome back to Canada and thanks for the amazing 6-month tour of absolutely beautiful underrated parts of Europe (at difficult times too). Looking forward to your next adventures. All the best.
I stopped what I was doing to watch this video since I knew it would feature bunkers haha. But seriously amazing video with beautiful music and breathtaking drone footage. I've seen other videos about bunkers but only you did an excellent job filming and explaining them with perfection👍🏼💯
I didn't think there are any Greeks in Saranda but there are a lot of Albanians that have lived or do live in Greece most of their adult lives and speak a funny mix of Albanian and Greek.
Nice views! Especially great at 55" TV :) A bit unusual silent parts. Great place at summer, I remember the very deep blue color of the sea, awesome seafood and some old Roman era ruins.
Insane ubiquity and numbesr of those concrete Cold War bunkers, in a small country about 90% The size of my home state of Maryland! Albania, a small country I knew virtually nothing about until your wonderful series of videos sharing your exploration thereof with us. Thank you Beautiful, Intrepid and Multi-talented Alina!
Saranda is my 2nd preferred city of Albania. It is sunny almost 300 days/ year. Peaceful, by the sea and with beautiful beaches nearby. You need a car to truly see what the city has to offer. Almost 20KM away there is Ksamil, which has wonderful beaches. Also close to Saranda 5 KM (Plazhi Manastirit), 10KM (Plazhi Pulebardhave) and so on, there are many beautiful beaches. Thank you Alina, it has been 3 years since I last visited it. You certainly brought back some great memories.

Amazing work, Madame Alina. Saranda is for sure a place to go during the summer months. On the other hand side, when you see that it´s possible to built bunkers all around the country with the people´s money, definitely strange. Food looks like once again real good. Well done. Stay safe and healthy, please.
Wow...The view from Lekuresi Castle was truly amazing. Albania is full of incredible landmarks and Summer vacation places. Can't imagine how beautiful Saranda must be in Summer. Wow...Alina literally went bunker hunting. Incredible!!! Slavic girls are incredibly brave and adventurous. Alina is literally an all terrain 4x4 girl. Love it!!! Was that really a Hillary Clinton sculpture or just a look a like? 😁 Thank you Alina for your lovely video.
your reaction is really a beautiful feat, Alina that you have explored almost all of Eastern Europe in such a short time..I really enjoy yr video for Albanian Riviera pearl..Saranda
Alina - Despite the downpours, Sarandë is a beautiful resort town on the Albanian Riviera, along the Ionian Sea coastline. Well-crafted video with captivating scenery! There is much more to explore in and around Sarandë. Thanks for sharing your initial video explorations with us, Alina!
I've been to Corfu, Greece didn't know it was so close to where you are now, although it is rainy at your side it is cold back home, don't mind trading places, lol
In spite of the weather you made a nice video . Yes Bald and Bankrupt found quite a few bunkers, but it goes without saying, that the ones you found were vastly superior !
Great Video, Alina. WOW, when you said you wanted to show off the beaten path, you weren't kidding, were you? Another country being opened before our eyes in this city, of many many bunkers.. Actually, this city looks like a great place to see and visit in the summer too. Amazing how a place you never knew was there will attack your inner soul that you just want to see all of them....
In the winter time Saranda is dead, it’s actually quite nice since there’s no people around at that time but also really boring. Not only tourists don’t come at that time but many of the locals live abroad so they go back to the places they live in like Tirana, Greece, etc In the summer the population doubles and it can get very crowded.
Saranda looks amazing, definately somewhere to put on my bucket-list, good to see you doing a bit of Bunker Hunting, Benjamin would be so proud of you for doing that, maybe this could start a new trend, Bald Hunting in Prague could be next, lol
You must have arrived recently or you would have told us about the AirBnb place you were staying at. Too bad the weather got in the way of everything, Saranda is breathtaking and is only a short sail to and from Corfu! Like Vlore you visited on the Albanian Riviera, it’s a summer destination. The COVID-19 pandemic has emptied a lot of places and it feels like you’re the only person in the world visiting them. That makes your videos particularly memorable. Alina, thanks for the introduction today and we can be sure we’ll be seeing a lot more of your travels as the year progresses and perhaps by then life will return to places sorely in need of them.
I just came across and joined your channel a couple of hours ago, I live in miramichi in New Brunswick and the chance of me going the places you been are slim to none so thank you for sharing ,I am surprise that you don't have a medal detector for places like around the bunkers , it would be cool to find a old coin . :)
Alina, Thank you for sharing everything and your hard work! Yes, bunkers a reminder of WW2! Know this with your channel I am learning too as Google countries, cities and you're commentary too! I! Cool skillshare promo! TY Know this video was a while ago big time thunderstorms here for hours last night this morning! I like the free grazing idea as an organic farmer in the city so funny! Not if you hit those cows say at 40 MPH and the damages created! Cool castle once again a stone, rock structure and still standing that's amazing! Almost 3 million people in that city you would think the restaurant would have more than 3 people and employees! Seen you are back in Canada now! Be safe!
The first impression I got entering an Albanian bunker, What kinda snakes are around here? So a great video as always and wow I love your drone footage!!! I took it for granted subconsciously until it struck me how really good it is and combined with the music / editing... Awesome job! Thank you 😁
When you first got to the top of the mountain and found only an empty restaurant I felt bad for you, but then I watched in amazement the drone footage and realized that this hike up the hill was really worthwhile!

Thanks Alina, another great video from Albania. Those bunkers are fascinating aren't they? There's just something about them being dotted around the place - so mysterious and raw. Loved Bald's video too - that guy is crazy!! Entertaining though.
Hi alina your videos are super amazing .This vlog is epic i really like it. Great camerawork. I love the way you showed the countryside by your drone. This city being colorful make it more attractive. I think i'm going there later. Thanks for making this awesome video. Wish you all the best.
Nice sharing that video with us. I think the castle you were looking for is called Butrint Castle. Bunkers are our wasting money history but anyway we still love them 🙃.
Hey Alina McLeod nice tour in saranda albany nice city nice panoramic to the beach nice castle nice restaurant nice food nice description and you look Stunning with your sunglasses
While we’re in a video about bunkers, did you know that Bald and bankrupt’s goals is to seek out numerous bunkers across the countryside? He found each by crossing the bridge that’s almost broken, trespassing property area, going through hills in motorcycle to a remote village and found inside were dead rats and possible human remains that he smelled as he crawled through as the bunkers were very small fit only for 1 soldier.... What a guy he was....
I hope you're having a good time and that the locals are friendly with you.If you decide to visit my home town permet( the city of flowers) i recommend the hot springs they are perfect for this time of the year
People did not live in bunkers. the bunkers were empty, on standby, in case of war, (aggression from outside). In that case not only the army, but all people capable of war, would be positioned to fight the aggressor.
it is understandable that Albania after the Second World War in which for the first time it became a free and independent country to have all these masses of security for the foreign invader however it was exaggerated .. and it went like this, I want to congratulate you for your courage in discovering these bunkers, they are places where these bunkers are now the home of certain animals and snakes
Alina, I have worked for 9 years of my life at a plant where those bunkers were built. Not such a pleasant experience but were forced to make ends meet. And now I am writing here from the States. Life has been amazing at least for me to experience both extremes communism and capitalism or as the communist propaganda used to call it "imperialism" haha. A helpful tip, there were no taxes in communist Albania. Everything was state owned and run.

Hi Alina, what a pity that the rain spoiled your opportunity for more of Saranda but thank you for showing us the sights. You are braver than I would be to venture inside one of those bunkers! I bet they have their own distinctive aromas don’t they? Can I ask a couple of questions about Saranda and Albania in general? If someone was travelling to holiday in Saranda what would be the nearest airport and how long would it take to travel there? Secondly, you said that a coffee usually cost $1-1.50 but what would be the cost of food etc. In Albania in particular Saranda. Could you budget on $20 per day? (Not including accommodation). Thank you for this videos. Love to see the places you visit especially the live streams
Thanks! Albania really only has one passenger airport and that's in Tirana. To get everywhere by public transit would require buses or you can rent a car. You could definitely budget $20 USD for food a day and go to more local to midrange places and stay in that realm. If you stay in a mid range hotel breakfast is usually included so if that was the case then it would be much easier to spend $20 or less on 2 other meals.

Saranda, which means 40 forty in Greek language (or by its Greek name Agioi Saranda), love to everybody! Greetings from Greece, once again you were wonderful!
in reality Saranda is a name that derives from Latin (Santa Quaranta ) also the word Greek derives from the Latin term graeci...however, it must not be forgotten that Aristotle wrote that the term greek is a term of illyro Albanian origin which derives from the term graikos... and in my opinion Aristotle was right seeing that even today that term only makes sense in the Albanian language
without forgetting that even Corfu was also inhabited by the ancestors of the Albanians before the importation of Hellenistic culture from Egypt and Middle East
@@lagjescuni5482 ‘Aristotle has said that the word Greek is Illyrian’... Can you please give me the name of the work and the exact line where he says this? Also are you saying that the word Saranda doesn’t come from the word Saranda but it comes from the word Quaranta or did I read that wrong?
Beautiful video Alina. Those Bunkers are endless in Albania as Hoxha spent a fortune to build those and left many Albanians without sufficient food and utilities. He didn’t know anything else and still had the WW2 paranoia and taking him from power as well.
Yes, I will keep being my own kind of handsome. Men are handsome and women are beautiful or at least cute. After this video, I think that I would take pictures of that gorgeous Albanian coastline and skip the bunkers. The Bulgarian abandoned flying saucer building was very interesting in one of your videos. Far more interesting than bunkers.
well done for getting inside the bunker , bald would approve ! in summer that place and beach would be buzzing . also do you know why they paint the tree trunks white ? perhaps its to stop people on there phones from walking into them . lol .

Alina, you are top youtuber, but there aren't many Greeks in Sarande, despite them thinking it (incorrectly): they don't know what they are themselves. Their confusion pours out an uncertainty as to whether be generous or not, and most of the time they decide to not be. I'm also glad you stated the truth about the horrible capuccino you had at the Lekuresi Castle. Those restaurant owners should rot in jail, and not be in the hospitality business, they shouldn't own that restaurant in the first place. For good, warm hearted Albanians, look elsewhere, not in Sarande.
Great video Alina! I love all your videos about Albania. It’s sad to see all these comments from ultra nationalist Albanians though. Anyway keep it up! I’m a fan of Bald too and I must say you portray Albania more accurately in your videos. 👏👏😊

in reality Saranda is a name that derives from Latin (Santa Quaranta ) also the word Greek derives from the Latin term graeci...however, it must not be forgotten that Aristotle wrote that the term greek is a term of illyro Albanian origin which derives from the term graikos... and in my opinion Aristotle was right seeing that even today that term only makes sense in the Albanian language
without forgetting that even Corfu was also inhabited by the ancestors of the Albanians before the importation of Hellenistic culture from Egypt and Middle East

Dear god...
@@angrybirdo what happened??
@@lagjescuni5482 ‘Aristotle has said that the word Greek is Illyrian’... Can you please give me the name of the work and the exact line where he says this? Also are you saying that the word Saranda doesn’t come from the word Saranda but it comes from the word Quaranta or did I read that wrong?
You came to my town , Saranda ! Thank you !
Very beautiful saranda
Go to vlorë and sazan island. As well as ksmail and its ksmail islands 🇦🇱❤️✝️
Hey elina good video, saranda have many places to visit..
Perla e Shqipërisë!!
Beautiful video Alina. Those Bunkers are endless in Albania as Hoxha spent a fortune to build those and left many Albanians without sufficient food and utilities. He didn’t know anything else and still had the WW2 paranoia and taking him from power as well.
I love saranda the best city ❤❤❤
Yes, I will keep being my own kind of handsome. Men are handsome and women are beautiful or at least cute. After this video, I think that I would take pictures of that gorgeous Albanian coastline and skip the bunkers. The Bulgarian abandoned flying saucer building was very interesting in one of your videos. Far more interesting than bunkers.
Very nice to see you again !!
I really enjoyed the video! Next summer in Saranda!
well done for getting inside the bunker , bald would approve ! in summer that place and beach would be buzzing . also do you know why they paint the tree trunks white ? perhaps its to stop people on there phones from walking into them . lol .
I don't actually know

Liked this video more than all, more intimate :)
HI ALINA LOVE YOUR VIDEOS CAN YOU TELL ME IF USED ONLY THE Osmo Pocket OR ALLSO THE SONY ?? THANKS IN ADVANCE
GUY
Alina, you are top youtuber, but there aren't many Greeks in Sarande, despite them thinking it (incorrectly): they don't know what they are themselves. Their confusion pours out an uncertainty as to whether be generous or not, and most of the time they decide to not be. I'm also glad you stated the truth about the horrible capuccino you had at the Lekuresi Castle. Those restaurant owners should rot in jail, and not be in the hospitality business, they shouldn't own that restaurant in the first place. For good, warm hearted Albanians, look elsewhere, not in Sarande.
Alina, why woudn't you combine with Bald and Bankrupt to make a video together? That would be dope to see
looks like a nice place
Great video Alina! I love all your videos about Albania. It’s sad to see all these comments from ultra nationalist Albanians though. Anyway keep it up! I’m a fan of Bald too and I must say you portray Albania more accurately in your videos. 👏👏😊
i would love bunker hunting if i had the chance
