Sparkle Books I'm so glad I found your channel. You're great and I love psychological THRILLERS ... AGREE totally about GONE GIRL & THE GOOD WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO ... THANKS. I,'m in the US 😘
I can relate. Gone Girl made me love this genre. Bec i loved Gone Girl, i bought her 2 other books Sharp Objects and Dark Places. Both are good but not at par with Gone Girl in my opinion.
have only read Sharp Objects, which i really enjoyed. i haven’t seen the movie adaptation but Gone Girl is on my list of books to buy. how would you compare the two?
@@roserose3928 i’m going to get it next time i stop in my local book store! i’m looking forward to reading it after hearing how everyone has praised it
Psychological thriller is by far my favorite genre to read. I was thinking of doing a video on my channel about some of my favorites but there's so many! AND now I have even more to check out thanks to you!
i dont know felt basic to me... the readers knows as soon as the book begins what kind of a person the husband is u r just waiting for it to all blow up and waiting for the culmination but i guess it could be good for a starting with the genre
I too started reading this genre after GG. The book that blew me away after Gone Girl was "The wife between us". I recommend it to everyone!!! Even the epilogue will shock you!!
Jess on a Quest If it wasn't for your comment I would have never ever come across such a beautiful psychological thriller novel. Now I am planning to read The Husband's Secret and I hope it will blow my mind away just like Pretty Girls.
Just finished Girl With The Dragon Tattoo! Never thought I would love thriller books! This is the start to my obsessions to thriller books I bet. Gonna read the other two!
I've read 3 of those books and loved them. Gone Girl, husband's secret and just recently read just what kind of mother are you? I have the dragon tattoo on my long TBR list and I just purchased Stranger Child in kindle book as my library didn't have it. Hope to read that soon. Thanks and I just subscribed.
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is not exactly a psychological thriller, is it? It's more of an adult crime novel. Bit definitely, psychological aspects are present. I loved that book so much. Especially the main female character
Hamda Arif I sincerely hope that you read the entire trilogy! Personally the second book (The Girl Who Played With Fire) was my absolute favorite, so if you haven't read it yet and loved the first one, give the next two a try !! :D
Ashwin Sanghi is an amazing author, for crime and thriller. Private India and Krishna Key are amazing ones. I personally didn't like Chanakya's Chant, by Ashwin Sanghi, much but you should really try Private India.
The girl with the dragon tattoo, was a great read for. I will say that the first book took some time to get into. It was slow, but towards the end it started picking up more. I think because it told a lot of background stories of the characters, that way as the series went on you’ll know why the person was the way they were and stuff. The second book was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. My fav out of all three. I was at the edge of my seat throughout the whole book.
A very good description of some of the books which I would consider on buying next day, I've realised that I'm into physiological/thriller novels and hope to read some from this video!
I bought a book "Murder mystery of repoter" by Jaiprakash Jha. It's a wonderful book. I was surprised with the story. I will recommend all of you to read this book. Online available🙏🙏
I would read these ones you recommended ...Why didn't you include The Girl On The Train because that's what got me into thrillers ....Anyway Great Job ! Keep doing the good work
Hello, it was actually Gone Girl that got me into thrillers, I enjoyed The Girl on the Train but I didn't think the ending was strong enough to make it an all time favourite :)
is "gone girl too much similar to "the girl on the train", i've read the last one but don't want to read gone girl if there is too much similarities. by the way : your accent is lovely
The two books are totally different, the only similarity is that they're both thrillers, Gone Girl is written mainly from the perspective of a male character in the first half too which changes it up a bit, but like I say, both are really different stories. Thank you haha, keep practicing on the accent and you'll be there in a day or so haha :)
Completely different! I don't know why they are even in the " if you like gone girl, you'll love the girl on the train" category. I thought the girl on the train was pretty bad and predictable. In Gone Girl , Amy Dunne is seen as an awful person by some of the audience but is still pretty empowering and strong. The main character in The Girl on the Train is the COMPLETE opposite and is honestly the type of character Amy Dunne would LOATHE
