I have a real projector and even on its Eco mode at 1900 lumens, you can see the image clearly even with the light on right next to it and the blinds open. I used to have one of these cheap Chinese projectors and the ridiculous rating of "30000 hours" is not true as the lamp failed after about 1 year (probibly had less than 1000 hours on it). The fans usually have no speed control and run full power all the time. They also don't have a filter so dust gets into the optics system and messes up the already blurry image. In the end, I bought a real projector and very happy with it and it was similar price. Better image, bringer, quieter, high resolution. Better in every way. I know its a cheap projector but seriously you're better off buying a used projector from E-bay of course with lamp life left. This proved to be better for me twice as I bought two projectors (Sanyo and Acer)
Do you have the manual for this projector? Or a link to the manufacturer? Mine is not turning on, flashing green and red light, and I'm trying to figure out if I need to replace the bulb, or what
How does it perform during daylight? I'm thinking about using this for a classroom. I also would like to know if it's possible to connect it with a webcam via USB (kinda like a visualizer).
It is not for a a room with a lot of windows during the day, but on a good screen, it is pretty bright in an average room. On a laptop with Windows 10, after you plug in the cable and go to the control panel, display, and click "detect", it will switch to 1024x768 and the projector will start displaying. The resolution surprisingly good and all the text is readable at 6' diagonal from 15' away. You can connect it to as USB stick with movie files or pictures on it, and also a streaming stick. So depending on the format that comes out of the USB camera, it may or may not work.
I didn't quite understand what you were explaining about SD card. Since there's no slot for a card, how can I use SD? (Sorry folks - I'm old, not computer savvy, and researching projectors)
Hi Sir, please excuse the consistent late reply. Well, it must be usable a common adapter to connect sd cards through a usb port, and this device has it two of those ports. I hope it clarify. Have a nice day.
The box says 768p but one comment on this video said on the website it only shows 480p. I have not checked myself. It has to say NATIVE 1280x720/768 if it's really a 720/768p model. However as with a lot of Chinese companies they sell the SAME projector under so many different brand names and a lot of them LIE about their specs to get them sold. MOST only accept a 1080p INPUT but they only output a 480p or 720p image.
Most projectors like these are only good in totally dark rooms. You can spend a lot of money on SCREENS which will work in some daylight situations but we are not talking cheap. You can get a few years old EPSON style projectors for the same amount of money that do much better. You want to look for not only WHITE BRIGHTNESS but also COLOR BRIGHTNESS. Any projector that doesn't show COLOR BRIGHTNESS just WHITE BRIGHTNESS means that the COLOR BRIGHTNESS is only 700 lumens. I was surprised at how much BETTER the EPSON models are compared to the OPTOMA models which used to be considered "the best" projector brand for home theater.
Valentin Lovin most projectors do not have a tv tuner built in them but you can hook outside sources up to them like cable, laptop and some you can even live stream from your phone
I rather trust reviewers like AvE or Jerry rig everything - that actually do best reviews. I cant stand shit reviews like this that comment the obvious or just read of the product descriptions from somewhere. Take it apart, see what's inside to justify the price of a product, do the performance test in different conditions etc. Its a waste of time commenting on the device casing and connection ports, i can see that from pictures in amazon. Performance and build quality. Focus on that if you want to grow as a review channel.
1. Virtually all these cheap Chinese projector lie about lumens. This is about 300-400 lumens. 2. You say "the keystone is working". Your great review aside, keystone works terribly and only "corrects" a 15 degree vertical angle. All it is is a tiltable Fresnel lens in front of the LCD. This means that if you have to adjust the keystone to other than dead center, only the top half or bottom half of the picture will be in sharp focus. This is the same projector with slightly different cosmetic changes as the Fixover/GooDee/Tenker/CiBest/iRulu/CiBest,Croyal/Wimius, etc. 1280x800 1080p Projector (Croyale is a bit different and the Wimius ads SDCard support) LCD $179-$199. All that said, unless you want to buy used or have another $100 for an Epson VS240 (800x600, but 3 LCDs and true 3000+ lumens), this makes a pretty good media player connected to a 100W or so LED panel. Great for Halloween projections or kids movie night in the dark.
any china projectoers that you guys actually think are worth it? I dont wanna spend $500 on something from the electronics store but I want something thats actually outputting at least 720p. The other benefit I see for purchasing a china projector is that the lamps are cheap to replace is some cases.
Cory White , do not buy any of them, seriously, you have been warned. Any amount of money you spend on them will be crushingly disappointing and you'd have completely wasted your money. Cheap bulbs are cheap for a reason. If you want cheap OEM bulbs direct from the manufacturer and not some cheap Chinese crap that could damage actually do more damage to your projector, save up your money buy a officially refurbished Epson 2040 projector DIRECT from Epson for around $520 and the official replacement bulbs FROM EPSON are $79. It doesn't get better than that and you'll have a 1080p projector that's relatively bright (read, probably 20x better than any of those Chinese projectors) and OEM bulbs are so cheap there is no excuse to buy anything else. Again, I GUARANTEE you, any Chinese projector you buy will be a total total waste of your hard earned money, they are a con, I promise you. I hate seeing people buy these and then the inevitable disappointment and problems that follow.
You are recommending a projector that is 5 times the price. You cant compare the quality of this to something so much more expensive. Its like saying, "Dont get a Toyota for 10 grand, get a BMW for 50 grand, its so much better! Yea no shit, but not everyone have the means or want to spend that amount of money, and are quite happy with the compromise.
Great overview! Thanks for the work you put into these videos.
Awesome projector! Keep up the great work!

what's the native resolution on this?

The vivibright tp90 output 720p
You didn't say anything about its brightness, I want to show photographs in a room that isn't completely dark.
Most projectors like these are only good in totally dark rooms. You can spend a lot of money on SCREENS which will work in some daylight situations but we are not talking cheap. How worried should I be that this exact projector is offered on various sites under about a dozen different brand names? Simplebeamer, for one.
lol
simplebeamer means it's just projector without the android. Most of these are brand called AUN
3200 lumens my ass lol. It can't even achieve a white color in a darkened room.
Lol! Them Chinese are con-artists.
