The release of 2.2 will open so many doors for the game its almost impossible to imagine what it will look like a year or 2 after launch, it's honestly mind boggling
In general I think that 2.2 will be pretty insane and that old GD players will come back to the game! it is one update where the whole gd community is eagerly waiting and I believe it will change the game quite a bit, but you never know! Amazing video Ender you did an amazing job!
Some ideas for 2.3 -Multiplayer, yes you read right. With platformer mode this would be a neat function and you could make battles with it. -Sound effects, Level creators could set sound effects for certain actions, again usefull with platformer.
I am scared of 2.2 tbh. Always have been. This explains exactly how I feel and you get a sub for that. The swingcopter feels unplayable. It’s amazing that no one thinks 2.2 should be split into to parts: a simple part and the confusing part. I am subscribing to you. Good job.

3:38 this resonates with me so well. I left the game some years and now the "hard" levels are at the same level of difficulty as the demons that were out there when I left the game. I really feel I can't catch up. Also does anyone feel left behind with how now creators focus solely on making amazing levels for the demon category? It's hard to find someone who cares about the hard or normal levels anymore
thats unfortunate but the creators making only demons is not true, theres countless of 7 stars and 5 stars still around and being made every day, so if you want an easier challenge just play those :D
I am really worried about the server crashing thing, especially considering we are still getting them. I really hope rob makes bigger servers, and also hires a few really good trustworthy devs. I think long term gd players who know coding stuff would be so cool. Imagine what absollute, spu7nix, optical, etc could do working with robtop. I am super excited for 2.2, and for some reason also kind of excited for that time period where nobody knows what they are doing. I joined right before 2.1 but wasn’t really in the community much - so I didn’t see/catch on to that happening (I would have been playing 3 stars). So it will be fun to play trash recent levels. It would be super awesome to start UA-cam now too to maybe get a small audience before 2.2 comes out, which would give me a better chance of getting big with the player boom lol

There are 2 communities I know that have something that’s just been delayed and hasn’t come out for a very *VERY* long time, gd and 2.2, and Hollow knight and silksong
Ok, here I am rewatching this after 2.2 has been released. For the first day everything is true except the servers thing, the only problem had been not being able to save or load and The Cursed thorn being bugged in some devices. For the second day, yes; tutorials, news Dash and more had been uploaded. And some levels like Good Morning get rated. But we still got some like Jet Lag. And yes, I love noclipping the ground In platformer or instantly being pulled to the end. And the speedruns are already the leaderboard for platformer. For the third day, even if there wasn't any contest, we know that the map consist of platformer levels picked by RobTop, so maybe it counts as a contest. And players didn't really quit but some stayed in 2.1.
Expectations: Some cheer and generally making good 2.2 levels and having fun! Reality: FIRE IN THE HOLE in a million versions changed to a cringe form named Lobotomy levels
Just like 2.0, 2.2 will definitely have a ton of growing pains. I can’t imagine how many levels will basically be reduced to memory because of crazy camera effects. You already know what happened with the move trigger.

for all the kids commenting its out in 2 months, the video is from a year ago, and it wasnt that obvious, knowing that we have been waiting for 7 years since 2.1 already
I can tell it will be chaos when 2.2 comes out. Geometry dash literally had no update for the last 5 years, and this update is gonna be one of the truly biggest updates of the entire game. It will be so big that you wont even know what to do anymore since there are too much options and features. The community will rise like hell and I agree. Geometry dash 2.2 is just too op. and of course it will probably has many bugs and glitched due to the fact that this update has literally everything that you could ask for
On the creator side, I think there should be an initiative to include beginner creators. Probably many are demotivated because well, having experienced creators as your competition who can get a feature level in a short period of time is not very encouraging. The game is also becoming something like, if you don't do a wonder you'll probably die ignored. Apart from the fact that creating things with a more complex editor is becoming more and more difficult. I think there should also be a layout category, for people who don't know how to decorate then they publish it with that category and other people who are interested in decorating could work together, make a collab, so they both take the creator point and everyone happy. The fact that only the person who has the level in his account takes the creator point even though the level is a collab is a bit unfair, I think there should be a type of "collab creator point" and the one we currently have now let it stay only for levels done in solo. The part of the community of players who create the levels has a lot of potential and could be more motivating for people.
The collab level idea is pretty cool, although a layout category is a bit of a stretch. I'd say that if you have it in you you'll get a feature at some point, you just gotta keep grinding. Although ye the landscape is very intimidating
