    The random number generator seemed like the hardest problem. DP is easy once you practice enough of it, and realize the solution is always similar.

    I also failed my Google interview in the same way and I can confirm that whatever you said is correct in my experience. Google asks really tough questions.
    I had some time leftover during the Googlieness round and the interviewer told me that he had solved 800 LC questions in 2 months to prepare for his Google interview.
    Google is tough. Best option is to get into Microsoft, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, AMD, Amazon and the like and try to get into Google while you're in there.

    People generally say that if u are bad in maths till 12th u can't make a career in coding ( as it requires problem solving skills and logical aptitude)..
    How was your maths till class 12th level.. And your suggestions to improve in Mathematics?

    • @CodingInterviewPrep
      @CodingInterviewPrep  2 роки тому +2

      No it's not the case. 12th class Maths consist a lot of Trigonometry, Conic sections, Calculus. These topics are not used in Data structures and algorithms taught in college. Hence it doesn't matter if you are good in Maths in class 12 or not. Calculus is used in Machine learning and AI but it's easy to master.
      You will only find a few algorithms hard to understand like geometrical algorithms if you struggle in Mathematics.

      My maths was decent in class 12. I scored 99 in boards and also had a good score in JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. My AIR in JEE Advanced was 2232. My rank got pushed beyond 1000 because I screwed up in Inorganic chemistry.

    • @CodingInterviewPrep
      @CodingInterviewPrep  2 роки тому +2

      Initially I practiced topic wise to get a good grip on each DS and algorithm. I solved a lot of problems on spoj, leetcode and gfg. I then practiced by giving coding contests on Codechef, HackerRank, and Codeforces.

    Hi Shubham, thanks for the video!
    I have a question, do you need a webcam for the 45-minute technical interview?

    • @CodingInterviewPrep
      @CodingInterviewPrep  Рік тому +1

      For the initial telephonic screening round the webcam might not be required. My interviewer had called me on my phone from New York and shared a google doc link so that he could see what I was coding. But for some of friends the interview was done on google meet so yes your webcam should be on in that case.
      For on-site rounds you definitely need webcam. It is to make sure that the candidate is not cheating. Also from my perspective it’s a bit unprofessional to have your webcam off.

      Yes. There's also a book Effective STL by Scott Meyers. It is a bit outdated though as it does not have the recent features added in STL but it's a very good book. You can check that as well.
