3/4" plywood is the base with really simple joinery using wood screws. A local carpet supplier had cutoffs (lefotvers) that matched well to the existing carpeting so picked that up and used oversized staples (hand driven) to keep it in place. Residential carpeting is too thick to glue in place easily.
My first version was that but the carpeting was impeding my use of the lid. So remade it as a cubby style which ended up working out for shoes which was my biggest issue laying around in the camper floor.
The ottoman I measured to match the height of my couch then squared it off....somewhere around 20". I used regular #2 pine fastened with brads and wood glue then painted. 1/2" plywood for the sections needed and had foam and fabric on hand.
I like that your cabinet door go down.. I have been trying to figure out to get mine to stay open with out drilling extra holes.

I did the same with the side of the bed except I made it into a box with hinges on the top to store the pet food and extras in.
