For those who don't understand please make sure that you study music theory learn scales, chord progressions , chords extensions, song structures, and all that this things take time so dont be had on yourself if you don't understand anything just take your time with the music theory then you will come right@ Laurent Sam thanks for the video
Thanks Bro ❤ I've Learnt A Couple Of Things Here . Can I Ask Though , What Impact Does Stereo Separation Have In The Mix.......? Like According To You , Do You Think It's Important To Do The Seps In Order To Hit The Perfect Spot If You Don't Mind Please Drop A Video On Basic Mixing & Mastering 🙏
My go-to workflow is to lay out a basic idea with drums and chords, level that out so everything has a nice volume in the mix, add further instruments you like and once you have a solid 24 bar idea,I like to use stereosavage vst but you can also use the new FL24 stereo imaging plugin. Stereo image is very important in music, if shouldnt be your first priority tho.. if you’re a little more advanced in making beats you should definetly look into it but if you’re just starting out you should focus more on soundselection, composition etc etc
Basically each minor or major scale has 8 notes... Hence why we label them with numbers. So each chord is built up with a certain combination of the notes. The standard being 1 3 5 which would be C E G in a C major scale because they are those numbers in that scale. And for a minor it's 1 flat 3 5. Which would be C E flat G. You flat the 3rd for a minor chord. This is the foundation. And as you get better you add more notes on top of it. So you add the 7 to make a major 7th... Or 9th, 11th, 13th. You can leave some notes to make it more musical and experiment with swapping notes on your left and right hand. Something that will help is voice leading... Because your chords will be leading into each other by having multiple similar notes. There's still much more... But recap for c major 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 C D E F G A B C Major, minor, minor, major, dominant 7,minor, diminished, octave major Cmaj Dmin Emin Fmaj G7 Amin Bdim Cmaj So instead of seeing just letters musicians use the number system as it's easier and more efficient 👌🏾
Thanks for this video ❤can you explain more on the basics misic theory i dont understand how can i know which chord to play next like if i start with a major 7th then which chord i must play next
Grootman I m learning a lot from you all I m asking for now is a toturial for mixing & Mastering vocals like balancing everything from beat elements & vocals
Augmented chords are used to create tension and a sense of instability, often leading to a resolution. They are built by raising the fifth note of a major triad (e.g., C-E-G#). These chords are typically used to add color and are common in jazz, classical, and transitional moments in music. Diminished chords are used to create suspense, mystery, or tension. They are built by lowering the fifth note of a major triad (e.g., C-Eb-Gb). Diminished chords are often used in progressions to lead to more stable chords, such as moving from a diminished chord to a tonic or dominant.
@ thank you so much! I was experimenting with the numbering item you proposed and the chords can be really good! You should start a production school ngl
Im all caught up but id like to understand how to build chords for the whole song separate from intro the chorus and verse parts and yow to properly appergiate the chords in this genre
It is sort of like knowing that after letter A comes letter B(alphabetically) The structure is always the same. In each key say key C chord 6 will always be minor Even in key A chord 6 will always be minor So you just have to know which are major, which are minor then you'll be good to go
Check vids here on UA-cam about piano music theory then you won't have a problem anymore, but you should have a Midi-controller 🎹 so you can practise & after some time you won't have to think about it you'll just be playing freely I'm a church intermediate piano player by the way✌

Thank you for watching.
So how do you make Jazz Chord Progressions??like Kelvin Momo & Stixx
use a 2 5 1 (meaning the 2nd, 5th and 1st chords) progression in any key. For example in C major: D minor (DFA), G major (GBD), C Major (CEG)
We need Shaker tutorial please
Bro please assist with a bassline hacks for amapiano
When do we use augmented/diminished chords?
Augmented chords are used to create tension and a sense of instability, often leading to a resolution. They are built by raising the fifth note of a major triad (e.g., C-E-G#). These chords are typically used to add color and are common in jazz, classical, and transitional moments in music.
Diminished chords are used to create suspense, mystery, or tension. They are built by lowering the fifth note of a major triad (e.g., C-Eb-Gb). Diminished chords are often used in progressions to lead to more stable chords, such as moving from a diminished chord to a tonic or dominant.

More videos....
I thought mathematics was tough untill i met the piano music theory😓
please bring djy kp.😭😭🙏🏼
Im all caught up but id like to understand how to build chords for the whole song separate from intro the chorus and verse parts and yow to properly appergiate the chords in this genre
Plz make another one king a bit lost
Also u don’t mind me copying this progression for my beats bro??
The 5 isnt a dominant chord because you add an extra note. its a dominant even in triad form (GBD). When its GBDF, it becomes a dominant 7th chord.
how do you know which keys in the scale are good as minor or major chords like how you said the 1 is a Major
It is sort of like knowing that after letter A comes letter B(alphabetically)
The structure is always the same. In each key say key C chord 6 will always be minor
Even in key A chord 6 will always be minor
So you just have to know which are major, which are minor then you'll be good to go
What is an opmented chord?
augmented, opmented is funny tho 😂
Do a midi pack
We will learn for ourselves coz now you just hide the scaler there
Can you please make jaylokas type beat
Noted.
Please highlight your piano roll for the next one, it’s quite hard to count when the piano roll is clear
