  • Download the high quality MP3 for free at www.CryonautMusic.com It was the artwork of legendary designer and futurist, Syd Mead, that inspired the overall sound of this tune, so I decided to do an alternative video showcasing some of Syd's work. He certainly had a talent for depicting a beautiful, optimistic, high tech world where people and their ultra-slick vehicles could relax and play in style. Thanks, Syd, for treating the world to a glimpse of such a wonderful future!

    I stumbled upon Syd's work one day and instantly fell in love. As an actor and writer I love telling stories which inspire people similar to how Syd's art has inspired me. Adding on to that, I want a future like the scenes we see in his art. Such an imaginative and talented human being.

      Me too! I would hope that if there is indeed an afterlife, the powers that be would put Syd in charge of redesigning the place :)

      Yeah, where's my jetpack already? I'm still optimistic that we'll achieve some form of utopia one day, but who knows how long that might take...

    Pretty jazzy. For a while I was on Syd's Christmas card list, getting them as emails. Friendly genius. Blade Runner sequel could have used a couple of Syd's street level ideas. Not the first film look. Just one or two shots of giant street nighttime space. I have it all picked out...

    Revolutionary! Finally, there's a music type for the following words - awe, wonder, adventure, future, intelligence, cosmic, space, universe, interstellar, inter-galactic, science, imagination...Remarkable music as a backdrop for the works of a revolutionary artist (Syd Mead)

      Krishnamohan Chandrahasan Thank you again, KC! I really do try to infuse my music with an almost spiritual sense of awe and wonder when it comes to thinking about things like space travel, the future, technology, etc., and I'm glad it's gradually finding an audience! Stay tuned for more good stuff on the way! :)

    22JAM2024 - Outstanding job this. And talk about save the best for last. Heck yeah, we absolutely should have an observation deck and hotel rooms built on a single peak in the Grand Canyon. Only one though. Think of how truly awesome that would be. And all the proceeds would go towards helping maintain natural habitat. But we gotta stop hating on each before we can focus on doing something spectacular. Hold fast, humanity. We are being tested.

    Loving all your stuff, what program(s) do you use to make your awesome music?

    • @CryonautMusic
      @CryonautMusic  8 років тому

      +Paraneoz Thanks, Paraneoz - that means a lot to me! :) Primarily, I use Logic Pro X on a Mac Mini, but I also dabble with Native Instruments software synths, such as Massive, Absynth, FM8, etc. Recently, Logic updated their software to include the fantastic Alchemy synth, so I'm starting to play around with that one as well. Logic Pro is so powerful and so comprehensive now, that this music could all be done easily with Logic alone - no other software needed, really.

    1:42 The only reason cars don't look cool like that today is because of pedestrian collisions. Modern cars have to have a large amount of space between the engine and the hood so the hood can crumple. Wedges also slice people in half at high speeds. (im not joking btw)

    • @Sashazur
      @Sashazur 5 місяців тому

      Not quite. The safest for pedestrians is a low nose and hood so that if hit they land on the hood and stay on it, rather than flying into the air, or getting run over. The trend for SUVs (which has nothing to do with safety or regulations) is mainly why cars don’t look like this.

      He's the one of the biggest inspiration in term of scifi so of course his work feels generic today since it's been copied a lot.
