I remembered this music... especially the 6:45 - that was played on getting to my mum's family compound in Anua, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State... for the burial of my late grandfather. Pure coincidence... that it was some weeks into the census 91. My dad a Yoruba man from Ondo State was the state director of NPC Osun State. Orlando Owoh music was programmed to be the advert on NPC official cars. I will never forget the welcome...the joy of getting to Anua, the cry of my mum, and my uncles dancing to Orlando Owoh music...Oye Ka se census! That was days when Nigeria was still a country!!! 😓😩 But OlandoOwoh is the best pure talented musician that greased Yoruba land! ...My wife, Franciele, a Brazilian... Know my best music.... Olandoooo! ❤️❤️
You may not understand the raw Owo dialect in some of his songs, but you can't but appreciate the beats, the rhythm and the voice. With time, some of those "meaniglngless" interjections actually became the attractive add-ons that put Orlando on top of the Yoruba music pack. A legend indeed. May God rest his soul.
Every time I miss home, I play this track of orlando owoh. Childhood was fun growing up in ondo town with beautiful and wonderful friends and family around. Fast-forward to Adulthood, living several thousand miles away from home in a boring, lonely and quiet neighborhood in the diaspora. Thanks, Baba Kenery for the memories.

Had a cassette of this track while i was in college( University of Ibadan). Don't remember how i came to possess it. I would play this jam over and over again on campus. My roommates also fell in love with the song. We had our own "Mase/ P. diddy" dance move that we executed in synchrony to this song. I never knew the title of the track ( I thought it was "awa lolode o..")so when i lost the tape, i couldn't replace it.
