I'd recommend reading the manga if possible, while the anime does a good enough job of adapting it, halfway through the anime, they ended up running out of source material. This caused the ending to be rushed and overall kind of dumb in the anime version, with the only saving graces being one or two nice sakuga moments. Meanwhile, the manga ran for longer and had more time to tidy up storylines and just feels way better from a pacing stand point in regards to its ending. There's also the problem with the animation itself during the fight scenes. The adaptation has three or four moments where it's godlike but outside of those moments the animation itself just feels like it's slow and sluggish by comparison, creating a problem with the consistency. On the other hand, the manga's art style starts kind of rocky but as the story progresses it gets better with each chapter, wich while takes some time, it's better for consistency sake's. TLDR: the manga is overall a better experience.
