- Carmen Bradford Sings Billie Holiday's "All of Me" at Stateside at the Paramount Theatre, Austin, TX during the Women in Jazz Concert Series, October 1996.
This very talented vocalists swings this tune like none other. Shelly Berg on piano, Andy Simpkins on bass, and Herb Graham on drums. Fantastic.
I love the evolution of this songstress❤
Oh my god....AMAZING!!! Truly truly talented musicians here! Carmen, you sing with insane passion, you should have millions of views on this video ALONE! THIS is what jazz is all about! Very well done...still have chills man...
So privileged to see Carm at CalTech. The world NEEDS another album! Just thinking out loud. Carmen's talent takes my breath away. Always has.
How come I never heard of her? Just heard her rendition of Mr. Goodbar on a local jazz station here in my area yesterday, and she sounded better than the original(which was by Aretha Franklin)in my opinion-how impressive is that? Before hearing this recording of her on yesterday, I had never heard of vocalist Carmen Bradford(what a shame), but I'm going to purchase some of her music as of today, starting with her rendition of Mr. Goodbar(that is, if I can find it)! 11-14-24.
Nice up tempo swing! Shelly you're a bad ass! Carmen, great swinging style!
That bass!!!!!
Can I find sheet music for her or does it not exist? Cuz I've been struggling to find the answer to that. I desperately want to learn her song Enchantment that she plays on piano. Why can't I find it?
