It's nice seeing how accepting mostly everyone is here. It's really comforting It sucks how limited everyone is with understanding ADHD and other ones like autism, etc in real life tho. I used to have stim chew toys when I was younger to help me and I kept getting in trouble by teachers who wouldn't understand / children would think it was a normal toy.
Right? One of my stims is like jazz hands or flappy hands and my mom always says “Stop shaking your hands you’re distracting me” Orr something like that😖
@@vicctor1a.._ The word “stimming” refers to self-stimulating behaviors, usually involving repetitive movements or sounds. Everybody stims in some way. It's not always clear to others. Stimming is part of the diagnostic criteria for autism.
Never knew that people with adhd can have episodes till recently and used stims in order to help myself from episodes of my own adhd. Ethan has made me more aware of myself and of what I’ve lived with for all of my 22 years of life. Thank you Ethan lots of love to you as well!
@@runarigus Well it can be different for each person, but I'd say it's when your ADHD gets really noticable and hard to deal with for some time. I'd recommend watching a video somebody made on Ethan's ADHD episode from Markiplier Makes: eggdrop. He was dissociating really badly, couldn't focus and follow instructions, then got hyperfixed on his idea so that when it didn't work out he got frustated to the point of tears, which in turn made him even more frustrated at himself, had sensory overload with all the different stuff in front of him and then got depressed and sad.
idk if i have adhd but i destroy everything i have near me with my hand cause i keep playing with it while i am on the computer . I really need something like the gears one or infinity cube (cause i am used to cubes because before i was using a rubiks cube not playing with it just twisting it)

ADHD kid starter pack: butterfly knife, “caffeine doesn’t make me hyper i just get sleepy,” i can’t think of anything else rn it just seems that every kid i knew in high school who was actually diagnosed as a kid had those in common pls suggest more lmao
I hear that caffeine isn't actually supposed to make people with ADHD sleepy and that it should actually help. Then again, as someone with ADHD, caffeine hasn't given me more energy to my knowledge.
@@tricksfollies9549 i have heard that as well! in my experience, caffeine DOES help with my symptoms, but it does feel like i’m “slowing down,” or getting sleepy, which isn’t how caffeine typically makes ppl feel.
I just wanted to mention quickly that I'm really, genuinely appreciative of you making these videos. There's not a lot of positive and honest ADD\ADHD rep out there (since usually we're ignored or made into the butt of the joke) so it's nice to finally see some :)
When you're a female and have ADHD and have a ring size of 10 and you can't find any fidget rings that go up to that size so you end up wearing a regular ring and spinning it on your finger which leaves a red mark....
i honestly think i would like the fidget ring a lot. I never enjoy wearing rings because i fidget with them too much, but a ring made especially for fidgeting sounds awesome.
I had one and I really liked it, they're also cool cuz they can look really cool and just be like an accessory, really the only issues he had with that one were to do with that specific ring and not spinner rings as a whole so bam
I had one, and it helped my anxiety a lot. I would get really anxious over tests, and I could sit and spin it while taking it. It helps a lot, but it isn't distracting at all. I really recommend it if you think it's for you.
For everyone saying Ethan should make his own brand of fidget toys; please think about it! It's not easy to make fidget toys completely from scratch and would be very difficult. It's not just a matter of making things, its very difficult and takes a lot of time and patience.
I’m not sure anyone wants him to hand make them.. it’d be like how he makes the shirts probably. Just find a company that makes good, customizable fidget toys, and ask ‘em to slap a logo ‘n stuff on ‘em.
I think he should partner with a company which already makes fidget toys and tell them what he needs from a fidget and then work with them to make his own line.
It really is difficult. From what type of fidget toy you want to make, to the mechanics of said toy, to the feeling of the toy and to the company that'll help.
wafflestomp a stillborn I literally just ordered one before i saw this video & was like !!!!! if you type in "fidget cube gears" to Amazon theres a couple different brands
I want Ethan to try a tangle, it’s not as repetitive as most of the toys he liked but I personally really enjoyed mine and I think he could too, they may seem like a baby toy but you can get ones that are black or gray and more discrete.
Ethan reviewing an infinity cube: "too much a puzzle for me, too clunky, too expensive" Ethan in the previous episode reviewing the rubix cube: "FINALLY SOME GOOD F*CKING FOOD"
i recommend trying Thumb Chucks for anyone with ADHD. they're like these light up balls connected on a cord that you can twiddle between your fingers or even do tricks with. the balls detach from the cord so that you can just move them between your fingers. there is a little bit of a learning curve but eventually it becomes muscle memory for your fingers. they're fairly small so they're quite easy to use in class. have a good day!
there's this stim toy i really like called "tangle", but i dont know if you would like it as much because autistic stimming and adhd stimming can be quite different, but i still think you should try it because its really good
@@scribblecloud The term "stimming" is an abbreviation for "self-stimulatory behavior." (Better help). Basically it's any physical or set pattern of movements that stimulate the senses, i.e biting your cheek or finger tapping. With ADHD it's often seen as fidgeting to kinda stop other senses from distracting you. Some may be restless in their chairs or use a fidget cube to focus in class because that divided attention kinda helps suppress other senses.
cassidy vlogs I got one of these to help me focus during lectures because my anxiety makes my thoughts go crazy and I can’t focus, and it helps me a ton! 😊
Your the reason I’m working on my rubix’s cube, eef! You said in the last ADHD toy review you figured your first rubix’s cube out when you were 12-13 (I’m 13 and have ADHD) so I decided I would try to do so, too. And I only have the bottom layer left! Thank you for being such an inspiration, even though I have ADHD, you proved to me that I should let it stop me :)

OH MY GOD, THE INFINITY CUBE JUST MADE ME REMEMBER MY FAVORITE TOY TO FIDGET WITH AS A KID!!! When I was younger, I freaking loved to play with the “Jacob Ladder” toy, and this just brought up so many memories... (Also, I was diagnosed with ADD last year. When I was young, someone came into my class and was talking about ADHD and why some people were able to get toys to fidget with and from then on every time I would start to fidget I internally was like “am I faking this? Am I trying to get the teacher to give me a fidget toy? What’s happening?” And to this day I still occasionally think that except my mom told me that the meds I take would make me high if I didn’t have ADD and I don’t know, I thought it was interesting that I was scared I was faking my own illness, idk)
Hey bud, I'm scared I'm faking my anxiety and depression every day. I'm also pretty sure I have add/ADHD I haven't been diagnosed yet, but I stim a lot. It's normal to think that we are faking it, but you need to try ignore that part of our thoughts ☺️
Oof.. I feel yah ( T w T ) I'm diagnosed with MDD and GAD which fuckin' sucks to have. It causes me to go through constant brain fog as well as twitches (it doesn't help that I stutter as well). Not only that, but I keep hyper-focusing on stuff to only lose interest later as well as overstimulation (had an awful experience of hallucinating due to major stress and lack of sleep; never hallucinated before and it fuckin' scared me). I'm a bit scared to say this but I think there's a chance that I could have adult ADHD/ADD due to my symptoms (I'm not trying to claim that I have this, I'm just saying there's a possibility)
Yessss!! I have one of those!! I didn’t like how noisy it was though. Other than that it was one of my favorites. I wonder where mine is. Now I want to look for it lol
(Copying my previous comment from the other vid in hopes of helping more peeps!) Yo Ethan! I'm a fellow "adult" with Asperger's/Autism. Whilst not the same as ADHD, there is however an overlap when it comes to the fidget toys and seeking sensory input. Also attention span can still be an issue. There is a website I use called Stimtastic. It has a wide variety of fidget toys and jewelry for all individuals. Some are also designed to be discreet so you can take them into the workplace or use them around people who may not be open to the whole stimming thing. They do mystery loot boxes too! As for the butterfly knife/balisong trainer, look up the Squiddy. Its not at all threatening looking which means that you can take it out and about without worrying that people will think it looks like a knife from a distance. I personally have the Squiddy C. Fantastic video! I love this stuff! I need to get the roller and gear one for myself! :) Happy fidgeting bud!
bless you for sharing this w us. i just looked up all these and saved them so i can get some toys and a trainer later when i have more money! thanks so much for sharing this!
A weird one that I think could be a fun video in and of itself: worm on a string! They're really fun fidget toys and both look and feel super cool. You don't need to focus on them and a lot of the stuff is very repetitive, but if you do wanna focus on it you can do some neat tricks!

Vanessa Pang that’s kinda going against what they want, they want it to be experienced, so everyone can see and understand the message they are trying to preach, and if we deny people the knowledge we are denying the experience they want to give to the world, also it’s on UA-cam so it’s not really a secret if it’s accessible by the public so oh well
I need the roller thingy. I also did it with soap in the bath or sometimes I do the motion with my single hand and my phone. Something about it is soothing?
Driving "Stick" is actually highly recommended for ADHD/ADD people because we're forced to pay attention to what we're doing and also being we're constantly moving.
if you are in the u.s. and don't already, please work with your parents and your school's administration to develop a 504 plan. it will help teachers understand your need for fidget devices and is a legal contract to ensure the school gives you appropriate accommodation. teachers should never be able to take those away from you.
the thing that I love the moat are the magnetic pearls. It's tiny balls, around 120 I think. I have them in gold and rainbow colors. They are strongly magnetic and you can make neclaces and rings and bracelets out of them, but you can also - if you have anxiety - count them and then make cubes and flowers and stuff. I just LOVE them.

From what type of fidget toy you want to make, to the mechanics of said toy, to the feeling of the toy and to the company that'll help.

whats adhd stimming?
@@scribblecloud The term "stimming" is an abbreviation for "self-stimulatory behavior." (Better help). Basically it's any physical or set pattern of movements that stimulate the senses, i.e biting your cheek or finger tapping.
With ADHD it's often seen as fidgeting to kinda stop other senses from distracting you. Some may be restless in their chairs or use a fidget cube to focus in class because that divided attention kinda helps suppress other senses.
What about anxiety

Oh my god Jacob Ladder things were the best

Yo Ethan!
