Hello, Bro Joe Elliott....I have a nugget. Pastor K. Bond, here. Been wanting to tell this story for years. So, here it goes. I used to do workshops back in the day. Traveled around the world in the Air Force and would come back to Indy to do choir workshops at my Dad's church. In one of the workshops, Joe 'C' Elliott and some of his friends joined in. The group included none other than the incomparable Aaron 'Stix' Smith. Joe had come in with his trumpet, ready to do his thing on his instrument. Well, I had chosen John P. Kee's 'Rain On Us' as one of our songs to learn/sing. This is one of the baddest Gospel choir songs out there, and the drum solo is off-the-charts. Check it out, if you haven't heard it. If you love Gospel, you'd have to have lived under a rock to not have heard and know this song. Anyway....we get to picking who was going to do the drum solo. I jump on the Hammond B3, and we have at it....competition-style. Aaron was first up....He was young...not yet the drummer that he is today....Even still, as a young kid, HE WAS A BAD BOY! Stix did his thing....I knew the choice was going to be tough. Then, Joe C. put his trumpet down and got on our broken down church kit. Dude. Joe killed it, mane! He killed it! I knew I was about to hurt my fam's feelings, and I wanted to protect him so that his future would still be bright. So, as softly as I could, I let Bro Joe know that he had the solo. I could tell that Stix was devastated. I think his non-selection fueled him to be the drummer he is today. It was a really hard choice, but that day, I think we all witnessed the future GREATNESS of both of these young men that was to come. You remember that, Joe? I know you do. Now, look at both of y'all. KILLING THE DRUM GAME! BOTH OF YOU ALL! Years later, while stationed in Washington D.C., another young kid walks into our Praise Team's rehearsal. As fate would have it, our drummer was missing this night. Kid walked in with his stick bag and his snare. I look at him and say 'can you play?' He looks at me and gives me a 'Negro-please' look! I motion for him to get on the kit. Four hours later, we're walking out of rehearsal, and I'm calling the drummer to let him know he's been replaced. This kid, on Sunday mornings, would play the kit in such a way that I wouldn't even play keys on some songs....Just the kit and the PT. His name? None other than the incomparable Geremy Wimbush. Now, I'm not one to brag and dust my shoulders off, but I've been witness to the greatness of three of the BADDEST DRUMMERS IN THE GAME! As a pastor, now, I watch these young men from afar and just shake my head. LOVE WHAT YOU ARE DOING JOE, AARON, AND GEREMY. KEEP GOING!! So proud of you all, and I'm NOT SURPRISED BY YOUR SUCCESS! I FEEL A REUNION COMING SOON. (: Pastor K. Bond
@@venusspacey9685 Haha dude are you a musician? Do know how difficult this music is to play much less mix and play live? I think you're actually proving why they don't have many subscribers, its because people like you can't appreciate it because they don't understand music.
Guys , I don't have enough words to express my different feelings ,when listening this incredible mix , just the beat at the beginning have so intense groove, that I was almost crying before the actual video itself hahah I watch your work since the beginning , and I saw since the beginning the capacity of adaptation and evolution that you create in yourselves is amazing, you never give up. Some videos I liked very much , but I felt that some years ago , didn't exist the exactly good balance , like you guys had in the beginning, BUT NOW , NOW , you are with such a precision between the right balance , and to do some solos and fills with the drums ,piano, guitar. I just want to congratulate , all of you guys , to keep the dream alive , and I really hope that someday I see you guys doing a show here in Portugal. You guys have worked a lot , really really a lot to achieve success , and my wish is for you to have it , and God will bless you guys , I know 100% that he will do it. Thank you so much , for this 23 minutes of pure Joy , you music made my day . As a musician , as a good supporter of good music. Wish you all the best . P.S- How much I have to pay to have some merchandise , like the new T-shirt signed with all your signatures, I want my future sons , someday know who were BE ON IT :)
Once again ... be on it is a whole vibe... been down wit yall since yall strange arrange audition and still 10 toes in . As a musician myself I only aspire our paths cross on a collaborative level but til then we'll just say im a roadie
Sick work, as usual. Just woke up thinking i'd go listen to some music, and then i see a new notification from B ON IT, so i click on it ( what else should i do right ? ) and boi ooo boi... I rarely comment anything but i had to share the love. As a musician, one of the thing i like the most is to work on songs and make a whole new thing with them, and you guys are insanely good at that, i mean it. I've been enjoying what you do for years now. You're able to bring a myriad of style at once and make it work so smoothly ( that dubstep touch at the end, i wasnt expecting it XD ). In the end let me thank you for all the work you've done so far, the quality of your content has been improving over the years, on every aspects, and i'am thrilled to be able to follow your journey. Again, many thanks for all the music
Parabéns! Vocês são incríveis! Poderiam deixar separado em um vídeo a versão da música do Ne Yo que ficou no final! Assim dá para ouvir em loop 😁 ... Forte abraço a vocês!!!
