@@bluewulvgood suggestion I'm talking about being nearly as popular as other characters since he didn't get much spotlight back in the day until the movies
From Marvel, this is what I learned from The Thing. Weather it's a blessing or a curse everyone is given something they didn't deserve. You can either use it to ruin the world or own it and make the best of it
"Hulk is dumber, Thing is faster!" The directors of each show must have very different approaches, because Chuck McCann's performance in Fantastic Four is vastly different from how he sounds in Hulk, in which he sounds like how you'd expect normal human Ben to sound, much more like a normal guy and not nearly so gruff and gravelly.
@Ben John You can watch the first episode of season 2 ("A Blind Man Shall Lead Them") to demonstrate the difference in McCann's performance between regular Ben and Thing.
Well if ya think about it, Ben underwent a transformation to become the Thing while Hulk has his own personality and consciousness when he transforms. Hence the voice difference.
Well, yeah. That's exactly what I meant. I didn't say anything about the Hulk's voice, though. I was talking about how, in the Fantastic Four cartoon, Chuck McCann makes a distinction in his vocal performance between regular human Ben Grimm and the Thing, but the way the Thing sounds in the Hulk cartoon seems more in line with his voice as normal Ben.
It is interesting how Hulk and the Thing in Earths Mightiest Heros are both voiced by the same actor Fred Tatasciore. He does a pretty good job of differentiating his voice between the two. I wish he had been given more distinction in his portrayal of Red Hulk in EMH.
The voice actors in these productions do a great job for the Ben Grimm/Thing character and the era. Missing is the Hanna Barbera series, and the Benjy, Thing Ring / Flintstones show..
I think my favourite use of his catchphrase was in the F4 Worlds greatest heroes show. Doctor Doom had swapped minds with Reed Richards and when the F4 figured it out Ben said "you betta take the shape of a punchin bag Stretch - CUZ IT'S CLOBBERIN TIME!"
The Thing has recently only become way better both in terms of how he's written, he's not constantly whining about how ugly he looks anymore (once you've seen Deadpool without his mask on anything looks better) and how writers treat him. He's become one of Marvel's richest characters, got married, adopted two kids and is considered by many characters in the comics to be one of the best guys you can rely on in any situation. Even Doctor Doom depending on the day of the week kind of respects him. Now if only Spider-Man could get that kind of respect in the comics.
9:50 This scene perfectly describes the relationship between Guts Man and Cut Man from the Mega Man comics. Guts Man(confident): I could've taken him,(clears throat), if I wanted to. Cut Man(snarky): How? By breaking Hard Man's hands with your face? Guts Man(enraged): GUTS MAN SMASH! (Cut Man, seeing his brother angry, runs for his life and screams for Dr.Light)
I found it surprising to find out that The Thing had his own series in the 70's! However, it wouldn't be the same without Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, and The Human Torch by his side! They are The Fantastic Four after all! 🧡💙
the thing is definitely the best member of the 4, all the shit that does happen to him, not just what made him the thing, he will stand up, call out some jerk, and give em what they deserve
Play absolutely loves his interaction with war machine. I guarantee you Tony would totally install sports tracking into at least one of his suits just in case one of his friends like Ben would ask that question.
Is the dial m for monkey short with wrasslor the closest thing to an adaptation of the fight with the champion? The scene shown with who I believe to be the grandmaster might be it, but it can’t have the “too dumb and ugly to give up” (paraphrase) in it or it definitely would be in. Song choice was really good
Thought for sure you'd have: "How's the pavement taste" to Hulk, and "ugh. "I have an idea." The 4 scariest words in the English language." to Sue. 2 of my favorite lines from those series.

There is a Golem in the comics who actually was from Yancy Street and fought The Thing. Golem is also not quite accurate. While they are a theme in Jewish culture, they are made of clay or mud unlike Ben Grimm who is made of a rock like substance. Golems are also mindless beings that are forced to do the will of their master. Ben Grimm, being a fairly independent person and Jewish would probably know that about Golems and be reluctant to call himself that.
what would have happened if the thing had learned to master all the magic and also learn to master all the powers of marvel and also learn to master all fighting techniques and also learn to master all styles of fighting and also learn to master all martial arts and also learn to master all weapons
