what are those small screws you used to release the rotor from hub? i can't find those online
it's 7.7mm in diameter when I use my caliper to measure it. I believe it's 5/16 of an inch screw. Either that or 19/64. Thread pitch count is 20.

Pretty good, the only missing step I've seen others do is to spray the rotor down with brake cleaner to remove the anti rust coating they ship them with.

Thanks for mentioning this, i was wondering why they sprayed it down.
Some brake manufacturers specify not to use brake cleaner . They usually say to just wash the rotor off with dish soap and rinse thoroughly.
Don't forget to grease the springs if there sticking your brakes will drag and heat up fast

what is the size of bolts to remove discs and does it come with rotors? can you please make another video of replacing rear ball bearing i have to change after 50k. dont know why one starts making noise

It amazes me that people dont TURN THE STEERING WHEEL to get easier access to the bolts in the back...
Its front wheel drive, you can just turn it when the car is suspended.

I am. But I'm working on my plug in bike right now! Does that count? :) Well, electric car is still at its infantry and there is a lot (and that means a whole lot) room for improvement. The two mainstream electric cars coming out this or next year (Bolts and Tesla 3) are still the first gen. And we all know first gen will soon be obsolete. The Nissan Leaf first gen that does 70 miles is already obsolete. And soon will be the 105-mile Leaf. Remember the iPhone 3G? Electric cars are no more just a mode of transportation. Its more like an electronic toy and it will change fast. Never before in the history of the world do we have to line up and make a deposit for a car that does not come out until 2 years later. And we even don't have the infrastructures ready yet (charging stations...etc). Sure the future is sustainable as we don't have unlimited resources but I'll wait until it's ready.

What was the size of the hardware you screwed in to push the rotor off?
It's a metal screw. I'm not sure about the size but I just got my caliper and the screw diameter is 7.68mm (or about 0.3 inch). You can google that and probably can find the size. The screws I used was hex screws so that's why I had to use a hex wrench to turn them. Hope that helps.
Anybody else ever had trouble with wheel weights rubbing caliper slightly after brake change??

When i was compressing the caliber some brake fluid came out of somewhere near the break fpuid reservoir

@@immalooser92 Yes. Cause your compressing the piston so your pushing fluid back to the reservoir. You want to make sure double check that next time. Brake fluid is something you want to clean up right away.

There's no need to bleed the caliper. Just push the piston back in using a clamp.
vuaeco hello tks lot but end up we need to puch brake pedal to many time before start car its true ! some people said open reservoir master cylinder before puting back piston too ! i confuse lot bro :(
@@bo3oroot637 if you open master cylinder reservoir (just keep it covered so nothing gets inside) before, then when you push the pistons back, the pressure of forcing brake fluid back into the reservoir won't cause an issue. read that on another site
Just get the real piston compressor tool It costs like $5 and its easier than you fidgeting with that C clamp
What size are those 2 little bolts you use to get the roder or off
yea curious about this too - i saw some guys in another video post this size 8mm x 1.25
Just clean your car and brake dust won’t get stuck on wheels lol
