Arizona Renaissance Festival 2025 Opening Weekend!

Join me for the Arizona Renaissance Festival 2025 Opening Weekend!
We are back another year and are going all out! Open to close!
My husband and I are huge geeks so we love coming every year and bringing you guys tag along. This year we stayed all day, shopping, eating and watching many shows to beat the desert heat.
Starting our morning, we took a long walk through the shops to get a feel of the place, feeling intimated to browse heavily with the light crowds. Looking at books, custom themed hats & lovely smelling leather goods.
We grab some candied pecans for my husband Christian before we looked through the petting zoo. Noting all of the extra little touches that the people of the ren fair do to make the place feel extravagant and not in the middle of the deep Arizona desert.
Then its lunch time where we grabbed two Royal Spuds. The loaded baked potatoes that the ren fair has to offer that I just love. A great deal for $6 each.
We shed some clothing layers off at our vehicle since the heat was starting to get to us. After rehydrating we grabbed some drinks of course, a frozen lemonade for him & a raspberry mead for me.
Then its time to watch some shows, we parked ourselves in the shade to watch Adam Crack's Fire Whip show, immediately followed by the Ancient Art of Falconry show. Some light shopping brings us to the Pirate Puppy show, Puppies of Penzance.
Then its snack time again with some meat & cheese charcuterie, where we put together bites and judge it on its variety. Its quality made me think back to how my husband and I got interested in charcuterie boards all the way back when we got married.
Then we finish off the day at the Jousting Arena for the Joust to the death! Such an epic stunt show, its always a good way to finish our day at the faire.
I do end it by talking about my themed outfit. How I was a little disappointed how no one recognized me for my niche reference, Twenty One Pilots. I thought my outfit looked cool though so at least I had that to give me the confidence for wearing it all day & for this video.

I should have expected that the festival would have some D&D books! I should consider some of the ready-made modules.
Also, thank you for dispensing your bongo wisdom. I didn't expect it to be a one-finger technique.
