This guy knows how to tell a story. He's a "to make a long story short" kind of guy who never makes it short but still a captivating storyteller nonetheless. Love DLand!
When I was at Fantasyland Foods in '80 (Character Food Stand) our Corn Dogs came from an outside vendor, refrigerated and boxed. No dipping required. I was the hot dog and french fry dropper. One day in May '80 I noticed on the schedule the lead Corn dog maestro had "Mil Duty" pencilled in for the next weekend. I asked him about it and he told me he was a Weapons Mortarman at USMC Reserve Los Alamitos. I said, wow, I could do that. So next month I enlisted. I didnt get picked up for Fantasyland Permanent Part Time in the fall (not mature enough) but the military said we'll have me. So my career took off thanks to Corn Dogs in the right place!
Hi, do you recall if it was called " Dipsy " Corn Dog Batter Mix by Gold Medal ? Thanks ! If that was not it, do you recall the name brand of the mix?, thanks again !
Hi are you sure? Not verified, but someone told me that they used a batter mix called "Dipsy" by Gold Medal Bakery. Just wanted to make sure Krusteaz is the correct brand for the mix
