  • A guide and ranking of all of Octavia Butler's books! One of my favorite authors who wrote some truly incredible stories during her lifetime. She's often overlooked and is definitely not discussed as much as she should be!

I really enjoyed this video! Butler is one of my favorite authors as well. Shes so unique and I really believe that most can't come close to her ideas and writing. I read some of her short stories in University and am currently reading Parable of the Sower. It is written with such finesse, and I'm excited to read th sequel.

Nice video. I love Kindred. Tried to read Parable of the Sower but it was during the height of Trump's presidency so it felt too real, so never got to Parable of Talents. You made Wild Seed sound really interesting!

Wait until you crack open "Parable of the Talents." Your head will explode.

Great video, Zeke. Thanks for sharing your love of reading and of Octavia Butler specifically. I was just introduced to Octavia Butler this year and I read Dawn while on vacation. I'm through Adulthood Rites and now working on Imago. I'm thinking either Kindred or Parable of the Talents will be my next read. Thanks to your video I now know about Blood Child and will also add that to my library.
