I saw Bob Dylan in San Francisco in 1964 with Joan Baez as an unannounced walk-on and it was a new and impressive experience for me. It should be fun to get the background story of the man.
As someone that studied FX makeup, it's starting to really bother me now when the only thing they think that needs changing is the nose, like with Bradley Cooper, his nose is already prominent and they made it more so because what, Leonard Bernstein was Jewish, lol, ok, whatever, dumb, so is Bob Dylan. What message are they trying to convey, I mean Timothée has a very similar look to Jakob, Bob's son, it's a biopic, the actor doesn't need to look "exactly" like the person they're portraying, and if the nose is the only thing, honestly it's kinda weird.
Timothee has constantly surprised me with his acting in a good way. Although I initially didn’t think he fit the part, he has always seemed that he was the actor right for the part. True criticism needs to be saved for after the movie whether he sings for real or not is not the point of the movie it’s about the life of Dylan, if he is singing bravo, if not bravo anyway. I’m interested in seeing the movie.
I knew a man, his brain was so small He couldn't think of nothing at all Not the same as you and me He doesn't dig poetry He's so unhip that when you say Dylan He thinks you're talking about Dylan Thomas Whoever he was The man ain't got no culture But it's alright, ma, everybody must get stoned
It's literally Bob Dylan, do you think he's your local underground singer? 😭 he's literally getting a biofilm💀 he's famous famous, listening to his music is basic for a lot of people lol
I've seen Dylan a dozen times. I've always left with the same belief : " I wish I could go back in and see the exact same show!" I think he's the very best songwriter ever and its pretty amazing that when I see him live I'm always confounded and amazed! FWIW - my favorite was the tour with Petty & The Heartbreakers. A crack band of road dogs who had some great jangle and a rejuvenated Dylan embracing his R&R side. Epic.
I saw Dylan twice live...from my personal perspective the guy had the worst voice I've ever heard live that was actually so bad that I'm positive they had to do a lot of work on the studio.
I saw him live. I tell people it’s like watching a fuzzy t.v. And your eyes adjust, your ears do the same thing. I had no idea what he was singing at first but then realized I could.
I saw him in a quaint gathering in Knoxville. He wouldn't look Anyone in the eye and I just Remember how Anticlimactic it was bc I do love his recorded stuff.
I saw him about 15 years ago performing in Virginia. Couldn’t see or hear him but that wasn’t because I was far away. No one sang with him, everyone just sat and talked to each other and there was this ridiculous smoke machine pumping fog on stage. We left early. Went with a friend and thought that was a waste of good money. 😳 yikes
No. Boring. I get that people love Dylan but I really never understood that. Maybe a baby boomer/hippie thing. And Ed Norton as the old guy...no, no, no.
I didn't get Dylan for a long long time. Then, song by song, i did. I still find a lot of his stuff to be dull, but some songs, I find every note pure gold. Try "Blood on the tracks" - not a bad song on the record. (An old girlfriend introduced me to that one ‐ she was a difficult person, and I was too immature for her, but Lord she had excellent taste in music. Love to you, Allie, wherever you may be)
I clicked on this, and it tried to show me an AD! What is a "trailer" but an AD for an upcoming movie? It's bull to have to sit through an AD to watch an ad. I won't do it. Now I am pissed at this movie and will probably skip it.
unfortunately--for Bob and the rest of us--Timothy C. doesn't have the gravitas or authenticity as an actor (imho) for this role. Young Bob was a charming, talented scamp, full of contradictions, and a multilayered personality. TC doesn't have the depth to do him justice. As for who's singing, it's supposed to be Chalamet, but doesn't read that way.
He's a suprisingly talented actor - I think we tend to underestimate a person's skills when they are very (too?) good looking - at least as much as others may tend to overestimate them for the same reason. My first reaction at the start of this trailer was, like you, "TC as Dylan? No way." But he's a clever & skillful young man, I'm now curious to see what he is capable of bringing to the role. NB hope the script is good. Biopics are tricky.
@@grayigloo2023 credit where it's due: the ONE time I think he did good/great acting was in Dune 2 where he bursts into to the crowd of worshippers yelling at them to prove he's the messiah, was a good scene. And I half-jokingly believe it's because he wasn't acting. that's his true form, and the rest of his crappy meek "heh I just believe women are the real power queens we should be listening to" is fake and pandering is about 75% of his career. it's not that he's a great actor, he's just good for sociopolitical media clicks
Ed Norton. God among men. Perfect fit to play Pete Seeger. ❤
Man I had no idea of what this film is about, yet I spotted Pete Seeger within a 10th of a second. I'm shocked.
I have huge respect for the songs of Bob Dylan. i would like to watch this.
wow, Timothy could learn from you

Here to salute Edward Norton's period English, instantly recognizable Pete Seeger.

timothee is jewish ftr. I think they just wanted to change his appearance a little because at this point, he's uber recognizable.
Love it -- "Good start." You don't know how much praise can motivate an artist.

He’s singing.
Chalamet is singingg
Love timothee so will love anything he's in. Can't wait to see it.♥️
Yes. Definitely.
There he is, my tiny horse.
Thank you for the smile!!
If this movie contains any mention of Girl from the North Country I am going to cry my heart out
Not a fan of Timothee Chalamet, but this could change my mind.
good luck with that...
I'm curious if The Band will make a cameo. They were Dylan's backup band.
I believe the movie is not going up to the start of his electric period.
@@zethraelofteldrassil3149 🤷 Ya never know. I am grateful Pete Seeger's in it.
I’m not going to even watch the trailer. I just paused it. Can’t wait to see it, maybe I won’t like it maybe I will love it.
if that is Chalet actually singing, bravo.
I doesnt sounds like Dylan, so it is probably Tim.
It is him, and he sounds great.
@@mustavogaia2655 Sorry, it sounds tremendously like Dylan
this i'll watch
Must be trippy for Bob to see biopics of himself. I imagine it would feel like it had nothing much to do with him.
For whatever reason, Bob needs money.
Sounds incredible.
Can someone tell me if this is a biopic or not. I genuinely don't know.
Wow! Finally…
I will be watching this!!!

All roads lead to Bob Dylan ❤🙏

I just noticed something about Robert Allen Zimmerman.
and what might that be?
Ozzy Ozbourne before he started eating bats.
😂😂
And Bob Dylan's other love doesn't appear? Edie Sedgwick???
I don't think the film covers the time period of their relationship.
lol now the zoomers will start listening to Bob Dylan and making tik tok videos of his songs, I guess

Bob dylan❤❤🎉🎉
I think Timothée Chalamet is very overrated.
Does Chalamet do the singing?
That one shot looked awfully like lip syncing.
Yes, that's him singing.
I just don't see Chalametin this role. He's too pretty. It needs to be somebody with more grit and a little rough around the edges.

Ed Norton as Pete Seeger. Perfect.
