Thank you very much. You give classes for free. No one does this to people. You are a very good person. I pray for you that you will be more successful.
This is just like buying ads anywhere else: if you do it right it can work but it's also very easy to throw a bunch of money down the drain. If you're interested in trying this, go spend 20-40 hours watching how-to videos and courses on paid ads and how to promote your site/channel/product through them, then set aside an amount of money you can afford to lose applying what you've learned and spend it on ads. This is will serve to refine what you learned and then, at this point, you should know enough to know whether or not spending more is a good idea for you and, if so, how to do it correctly.
If you use paid ads to promote your content, people think you're chasing clout and most of the time you don't actually get potential subscribers.
My experience (and confirmed by so many others) : whether you choose ‘engagement’ or ‘views’, promoting a video is a waste of time. You will get bombarded by what feels like bot views and subs. As tempting as it may seem, as Sean said, it’s better to do it organically ❤
I’d take VIEWS and COMMENTS over subs any day of the week.
I have to say, it’s nice to hear a big channel offer this advice. I TOTALLY agree that growing organically is the way to go. Yeah it might be slower BUT the audience is real and more likely to actually care about your content.
I used it on a couple of videos and once the promotion ends, the views stopped so not doing it anymore. Thanks!

I think this comes similarly with organic shorts. The attention from those people don't actually remember who you are and as they are on the carosel, they aren't looking to make one solid commitment to one person. They are entertaining themselves and doing it almost autonomously/mindlessly.

I did a $100 promotion with YT and got subs but keeping them and engaging was not there, I recommend not doing it and grow organic with content
I actually tried doing a promotion and UA-cam didn’t approve it. I spoke with a Google sales guy, he watched the video, didn’t see an issue, sent a request over and still denied. I’m glad now. What I can’t figure out is how people in my space, doing the same type of videos, with about the same quality have built a subscriber base and I haven’t. Very odd!

Last year I had a motto of both of my subscribers like my videos. This year they invited a couple of friends. I hit 10,000 views on my coin pusher video. With only 1200 subscribers. I clearly don't have it figured out. But I keep posting videos.
I have just tried the feature and I got a few hundred subscribers on two of my channels. I'm waiting for my promotion campaign to stop. I think that it helps when you are a very small channel. It gives you a little boost. :))
How much did it cost you?
@@TheChappers around 54-60$ (US dollars). Because in my country here in Europe we use a different currency. :)

No they are real people. Don’t listen to theses guys. There’s a channel right now that uses the UA-cam promotion feature and he has 59k plus subs with crazy engagement and I’m one of his subscribers. Most of these creators like ‘think media’ are don’t want competition and the fact they are to work hard for their audience they don’t like the fact that people can get to 100k with just $500 in UA-cam promotions (if you do it right)

Hoe to get the tags for bigger creators? I've tried one of the vids feature: topic but doesn't appear on my end or do I get gutted for now?
Absolutely not, the problem comes when someone starts buying views for your channel to attack it. I put 100hours into a video, it had 60% retention after 3 days, suddenly i had a spike of 1000 views in about 5mins, all from russia, india, and now the video is dead.. I speak to youtube support they dont care or cant remove them, so all in all, buying any sort of views just kills your channel, but theres nothing stopping people blackmailing others. I just want to quit

And that channel had just 31 subs when they started. And I can definitely list all of the channels that use this feature and see real grown like GTFO of here Think Media. Y’all literally ran ads 24/7 when y’all started. I couldn’t turn on UA-cam without seeing your ads and this is before y’all changed your name. Y’all still run ads now😂 that’s literally how your channel grew
Had one friend who brought 20,000 views for 3000 on upwork, let's just say three years later he's losing 200 subs per month! I always use the old adage "if you build it they will come!" if you don't put effort into the content you create and continuously refine it and sharpen it. Why should anyone watch your content? If your lazy and just want ad dollars and not in it for the creativity and information then the content is dead in the water.

It sounds like the same results as Facebook ads. Some people look, but not much happens after that.
