I have started playing the Caro-Kann a while ago and without knowing too much theory yet, it feels very safe to play. The only downside so far is that I seem to end up in a lot of Q+R endgames which I find hard to play, especially on the internet on low time controls.

if you play rapid/blitz only, that may be one of the reasons. It is often seen that people get stuck at around that level, which means it is asking for more time and patience. I would recommend you to check the books such as Logical chess: Move by move (Chernev), and Chess: The art of logical thinking (Neil McDonald). There is no need to focus on any opening studies at this point.
@@BadBishopChess Well, i feel overhelmed with the Answer E5 for example, wich is often recommended for newer players. there is such a high amount of gambits and tricks black needs to know...
I meant the openings a player of 1750 FIDE is able to understand and play. However, if we are discussing the question of which opening is saving time and is most practical for a busy player, then I would not recommend 1...e5 for the reason you mentioned. I would say Caro-Kann saves a lot of time, while Sicilians are also a good choice. Next is French. And if you really want to narrow down, possibly explore the Scandinavian, or Pirc. However, my top is Caro-Kann in any case.

Look for Capablanca's games. He played a lot of Caro Kann games and the endings are amazing. A good book about those endings is Irving Chernev's one.

Wich opening for black against E4 is 5/5 stars for a weaker casual player (Fide 1750 Elo) like me? Can you recomment an opening?
A player of 1750 FIDE should be able to play any (sound) opening. Just dedicate enough time and practise in classical time control games.
