That looks like a great place to fish with that rod and reel/lure combination. Bluegill, Shellcrackers, small Bass really make that drag sing, and with Red Winged Blackbirds calling and singing in the background...fun times for sure.

That 1st hit took me by surprise.....WOW.... and you know a ole bass had to make an appearance.....LOL..... Yeah you can look at how skinny the backs of especially those shellcracker are and tell they are struggling in that pond..... Those coppernose fight as good if not better than shellcracker.... Nice catches and Stay At'um.....

Your channel has helped to rekindle my interest in fishing.
Awesome video as always Randy! I bought an abu garcia eradicator real finesse 610 back in november thanks to your high praise of the 6 foot 7 model but sadly that rod broke last week when something big grabbed my jig while I was trolling for crappie. Anyways Im in the market for a new rod and am having a hard time choosing between the tict ice cube 69 power model or the tenryu lunakia 610. Will these two rods come close to the abu garcia in terms of sensitivity and the steely sensation?
Thanks much for watching.....both the rods you speak of are very sensitive. I own both of them and they are outstanding rods no doubt. But....Abu Garcia has really hit a home run with the RealFinesse series of rods. If it were me I would try to find another Eradicator....to me they are just that good. You will not go wrong with either rod you select but the Eradicator rods are really special.
@@troutmagnetman thanks for the quick reply randy! I have to agree with you on the abu garcia being a home run. After using it for the past 6 months my other ultralite rods seem dull lol...I will have to do some more research into what I will get next as I like variety and rarely ever get the same rod twice.

Looks fun, how far can you cast a 1/32 jig? I never see you casting.
Never reel while the drag is pulling. It puts twist in the line.
Got news for you….I never get line. twist. You care to search my channel I have discussions about this.
@@troutmagnetman Because you are using braid. Try it with Mono or flouro and it will be a nightmare. Just sayin. It's a known fact, not something I made up. Same as closing the bail by hand.
@@ZZ430T56 I use nylon…ester line and braid. No issues at all.
Actually that is Ester line in this video…not braid.
