Tim Armstrong is a modern King Midas. Absolutely everything he touches, influences or has a say in turns to pure gold!!! I love this man. Please, never, ever stop, brother.
amen
Hallelujah
I see tim
I click
Honest, I had no clue what this was gonna be.
But you never knowin' the calypso ...
Cah indo 👊🤪
Same
Right! Jajaja ❤
As a Christian man that also loves punk rock. This. This is it chief.
Me too, brother! Amen 😀✊
Absolutely lovely. ..
Rancid was my life before I became a Christian. Man, never thought I'd see a video like this.
As a Satanist and a Punk Rocker... I love this. Good music is good music. What else really fuckin matters?
B Boots VivaHateInc gotta love good music bud. Please please take this warning man. You do NOT want to purposely invite darkness into your and your family’s lives. I promise you you will regret it. I’m praying you come to know the true way of Jesus. 🙏
Thank you Tim, from the Navajo Nation.
Proud citizen of Trinidad and Tobago. Calypso Rose.
This is the best version of Amazing Grace I've ever heard. John Newton, the author of the hymn, had been a slave trader before his conversion to Christ. He then became an important abolitionist. I think he'd be blown away by this version of his song. Totally unreal to see Tim Armstrong playing on this, with The Interrupters. And Calypso Rose! Man, she gives me goosebumps. So glad I stumbled on this during Holy Week.
wow thank you for sharing that. goosebumps as well here
Trinidad and tobago 🇹🇹 here! Tim we love you man!!! Welcome to our culture 🤘
Praise Jesus! Rancid was my life before I became a Christian years ago. Somehow you tube algorithms knew I'd love to see this one.
Rancid can always be your life it’s mine
Rancid is my life.
Same with me dude. God came into my life as well. I’m with Jesus. I got into some heavy stuff in my street punk days but Jesus just showed me the better way. I still love the punx and skins and I always will. You can be into both and anyone who tells you otherwise is a fascist
@@witsmcgee with you there
Love Rancid I lived the good old days, now Jesús Lord is in my heart n’ everything is gr8.
Sorry 4 my bad english.
The guitar of Tim has an amazing grace
This is the kinda thing we need right now.
You are so right. Our country is divided in a terrible way. We are all Americans FFS!
@@brianfolsen1919 see you back in 2020... We need more of this!
It never really went away, just been ignored by many.
The entire world needs this
Praise God for creating a man like Tim Armstrong!
better bless his parents... there is no god my friend, he wouldn't allow all this bullshit around us if he existed.
@@miracleworker28 you can't just tell people something you aren't 100% sure about.
@@vonleyflowers697 You can't tell me what to say and i what i can not say, i can tell ppl whatever the fuck i want. The only God who exists for me is Lemmy.
The Silencer God created us with free will. It’s not His fault humans turned the world into what it is. That’s why y’all need Jesus. And punk rock.
The Silencer edgy asf bro. Let people believe whatever the fuck they want. If he says god is real then god is real to him and don’t tell him otherwise you close minded fuck
a great artist is measured by who he rolls with, and Tim rolls with anyone!
And everyone
Unity
Tim timebomb and interrupted so dope
I am from indonesia bali.. i love this song .. this is the best version i've ever heard..
I'm not even Christian, but I love this version so much (this and Dropkick Murphys' cover)! Well, this version is so happy and so soulful; everyone loves it!
I feel you, much love from Omaha Nebraska 😷
@@adamaskew2866 Cheers from Berkeley, California! What's it like out in Nebraska? I hear The Killigans are from there (those guys slap so hard omg).
I am amazed. I love Rancid's music. Most bands... I like about 50% or less of their songs; with Rancid, it's more like 90%. I generally detest music that comes from my area (the Caribbean) but Tim Armstrong has chosen to love some of our music. How ironic! I appreciate that Calypso Rose is singing for the Glory of God now. The Interrupters rock too! This was nice.
Tim Armstrong seeks the purest expression of any music he plays. Love it.
This brought me to tears not sure why love
The very second it started. :)
🥺
I'm not crying, you're crying...😢
I love this treatment of this song. Beautiful and actually quite moving.
I legit got tears in my eyes.....real music never dies!
Tim just rocks man no matter what style of music he's playing but the interrupt this rock as well
I love Rancid. I love Tim Armstrong. I love LOVE the Interrupters... But, I grew up listening to Rose. Still the queen of Calypso. They're only missing a little bottle and spoon.
She is definitely a national treasure!
It's the beauty of music, bring us all together. No matter our styles we can all come together and play and sing and love!!!
I LOVE HER
@@gregoryholland7164 AND Jamaican Calypso known as "MENTO" in Jamaica was the "base foundation " of Ska..in its traditional Jamaican form was Mento with a blending of US genres - Jazz, Rhythm and blues , Soul, early Rock and Roll, Swing and a Cuban Jazz style..the name escapes me. All of which were picked up in Jamaica from US and Cuban radio broadcasts ..on clear nights. Around 1966..Ska slowed down its beats and the slowed down Ska (also put a bit less emphasis on percussion) in transitioned into Rocksteady - still considered Ska but was waning in Favor of ...a new name - Rocksteady. When Rastafarian culture and Jamaican Politics wer added as a regular feature... Rocksteady changed. Names to the MUCH better and well-established named - Reggae- '69 - '70. In its Classic form.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord! My favorite song done by one of my favorite musicians! Tim, you're AWESOME! Great version.
Merci beaucoup a toi Calypso Rose !!
Im from indonesian. I dont understand what song all about. But your harmony is so touching straight to the heart.. love n respect
Its a Christian hymnal. Mostly used in the southern USA churches.
Oww.. thnks for repply. Im not a christian, but im quite sure, love and respect is all over any religion.. thats what we need.. a song, a music, a harmony, which can unity in diversity.
@@mycerminajaib exactly.
This Hymn was written by a Slave trader by the name of John Newton. The song was written after John spoke to God and then changed his ways and became an abolitionist."I once was lost but now I'm found, was blind but now I see" was the result of his conversation with god.
Saya dulu seorang Kristen tahu lagu ini, dulu sering dinyanyikan waktu sekolah Minggu, walaupun saya sekarang telah Muslim tetapi saya tetap menghormati dan menghargai saudara kita yang Kristen. Salam Toleransi dari Indonesia
Tim is my favorite musician. Awesome collaboration!
Peace...peace...and peace... My World. From me.. INDONESIAN
Amazing Grace was written by John Newton who had himself been a slave trader before he was converted by Jesus Christ and became an Anglican priest. What a powerful story of redemption!
I was thinking that myself as I listened to the intro.
People seam to be putting too much into skin color and not really realizing we are all humans that struggle with the sins of the flesh.
I personally love this song and have since I first heard it as a young man.
@@josephopie348 I think a song like this will speak to whatever struggle the listener or performer identifies with. For this woman, it's about the struggle of her ancestors as slaves, and maybe examining the fact that she has her Caribbean heritage, of which she seems to be proud, only because her ancestors were brought over as slaves. For many people, I'm sure slavery doesn't come to mind at all when listening to this. But that's the beauty of a great song. It can mean something different to everyone, but still resonate.
As soon as the whole band and vocals kicked in....chills. Literally. Chills. Beautiful. Calypso and Soul, perfect together
The Interrupters are the best!

Michael Walker lol.. just out of curiosity then.. what do you think constitutes good music? Open your mind man.. this is as PUNK ROCK as it gets..
@hangtowntactical lmao!!! No, no it’s not.
@@donniebahe3068 It's much more than music - Listen to what is being said :)
You're either moving towards the light or you're moving towards the darkness.
This is what it's all about! Music brings us all together no matter our styles. We can play and sing and laugh and love!

BAM BAM SCOTTISH HAMMERS
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost
But now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see
'Twas grace that taught
My heart to fear
And grace my Fears relieved
How precious did
That grace appear
The hour I first believed
Through many dangers
Toils and snares
We have already come
'Twas grace hath brought
Us safe thus far
And grace will lead us home
When we've been there
Ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun
We'll have no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we first begun
Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost
But now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see

SOOOOOOOOO Coooooooooooool
My first time listen to her song. Just overwhelmed by the power of her voice..
I've honestly never before heard a version of this song I liked, but have always loved the lyrics. This version right here, though. Powerful and delightful. I had to thumbs up it, unthumb it, then rethumb it just because I liked it so much.
