That stop-motion section was really cute! However, knowing firsthand how much extra time that adds, I can't blame you at all for (mostly) switching to a regular time-lapse. This is quite an involved Lego kit!
Great fun, Rebecca. I always wanted a Lego train set as a kid and never got one! Also, very impressive with the stop motion part - that takes a long time!
Great fun to take a ride when there are no other trains running. Cheaper per mile too - and no other passengers with mobile phones disturbing the peace! Oh! Did you check the loo's!
Wow, what an incredible video! For five minutes and twelve seconds you must have spent an enormously long time creating it. Lego themselves should pay you to use this video for advertising their products. Loved it!
Full disclosure, Rebecca had to buy more Lego figures after that crash. Just because. Ignore the little tombstones in her backyard....they are...there for fun. 😭
Suddenly I have a massive need to get my old Lego Train Sets out of the attic and set them up and play with them for a few hours. I would need to build them first obviously and I don't know where I would find the space but it is a big throw back to playing with the old battery powered cargo train set that must be in the loft . I often think about buying a new Lego Train set too.
I can't stop laughing at the idea of a future video; when the Paul and Rebecca Lego figures visit the disused station. "It was here in January 2024 that the train ran off the tracks. No one was hurt. Everything was set right, when a giant hand lifted the train back onto the track."
"Attention passengers, due to low voltage reaching the motors we will be operating at a reduced top speed. We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause."
I've been modifying these battery boxes for years to extend the runtime and decrease battery consumption. I'm on the step of making LiPo batteries for them, as they simply can't fit that many regular batteries 😂
Having larger radius curves would likely make at least a small improvement to battery charge lifetime since there can be an amount of friction/drag generated when wheel flanges encounter extremely sharp curve radiuses. Of course having short wheelbase bogies/trucks can reduce that flange drag by reducing the angle between wheel flange and edge of railhead. Yes, that is an attractive little train. 🚄 And I like that the figures included a wheelchair, 🧑🦽those have figured in the lives of people I have known. And as for me, although I'm not needing one currently, the trajectory of some neurological and musculoskeletal things going on is known to most likely lead there.
@@thewhitewickmixtape sometimes there are nice coaches on rail replacements. other times interesting recently retired service double deckers. The Rail Replacement Bus from Three Bridges to Brighton was a double deck Metrobus and gave really impressive views over the South Downs into the plunging hills approaching Brighton from the N/S upper front deck seat ( actually there is a service bus that does the same route roughtly - maybe one day you might explore )
1. Your nails changed @ 1:15 ish LOL 2. You should have a look @ JK Brickworks and Half asleep Chris for cool Lego stuff 3. Were the derailments in the same place? Probably a track issue ...
I know that I am old. But the joy of lego used to be that you used your imagination to build anything from the same set of bricks. Now there are so many specific bricks for specific things, it is just a plastic meccano. Sad.
My sentiments exactly. There's no imagination when you're following the instructions. I'm retirement age myself, and I remember Lego bricks the same as you. We had a big bag of box stuffed with the 10 or so different shapes. I'm an architect, thanks to toys like Lego and Lincoln Logs. 🏛🧱🪵
@@jeffl32051960s Lego was my era. Everything all square and 'blocky' with only 45 degree slopes for any relief, and limited colours. But that was its charm. Lego was comparatively expensive then, so I never got very much, and certainly no trains ("You've already got a train set, why do you want a lego one?").
I think, well at least in my house...the initial set it's fun but then it's broken down into it parts later and it then enters the realms of being anything you want it to be. ♥️
@@thewhitewickmixtape I might have a harry potter train, dont thing it was mechanised. how about a Lego vs Tomy Trains long lasting comparision ( trains to weigh the same to see what effect track or motor efficiency has )
@@thewhitewickmixtape There was a store own brand I found to be quite good - there are some comparison vids on YT but not sure if they are all US based.
You need to get Paul and Rebecca Lego characters and use them as props in future videos.
Best thing about the video? The cute doggo's cameo of course! 🐶
Everybody loves a dachsund!! Cute little creature.
Thank you for one of the most entertaining Lego build & review videos - just as I would expect of you 🙂

Is there a prize for spotting that you had 2 completely different patterns on your nails Rebecca ?! 😎
Yup I spotted that as well, just wondered how long a took to build.
It comes off because you didn't build the circuit right, That bendy bit shouldn't be there nice vlog and attractive builder thankyou❤
That was a nice fun video. Love the derailment lol
Lovely - my wife is very impressed and wants her own set.
That was a nice quirky little video. I too am impressed by the Blue & White day one 💅
The dog checking it out was just excellent! :)

Damn I can't find a Lego minifigure with a red cloche hat ... !
Time-lapsing Lego builds better than a few build channels already .... Impressive
that lego train looks amazing

Absolutely brilliant! Thank you for sharing such an entertaining video.
Great video, now I want my own lego set 😊
Reminded of the time I built a lego vehicle that had a quite complex motor in it. Demonstrated it at school. It could go quite a speed.
Loving your train videos......and the lego. A refreshing view on things.
Full disclosure, Rebecca had to buy more Lego figures after that crash. Just because. Ignore the little tombstones in her backyard....they are...there for fun. 😭

@@thewhitewickmixtape 👋 I also support your UA-cam Channel, your videos, your beautiful Profile picture and your description 👍 🙂
Quite a nice lego train that is. :)
I here from Paul's rail and Roman road channel!
You seem to enjoy that Rebecca, aomehow I don't think Paul would have the patience
Love it! Great video build Rebecca … now if HS2 had been built this way😉😳🤔… also where are the little Lego models of you, Paul & your cute doggy?
Working on it. 😆
Hey Rebecca, I am really impressed... it is so cool. I was brought up with Lego too. And its the quickest build I've ever seen...
I was looking for a Lego frog, but that's a different channel :P "Half-Asleep Chris" has competition!! :D
Trust me....that is a saying in our house...just for anything...thanks to Chris. ♥️
hello again Rebecca, omg this was great lol, really well done and thank you 😊😍
I always figured battery life was important to Rebecca
Love your time lapse!
Fascinating… especially the epic train derailment!
I want to play LEGO now!
Hahaha, SO much fun!❤😃
I'm going to send my son in law a link as he's a "mad" lego fan.
seeing those lego trains on u tube and the layouts you can buikd looks fun ... mind you not far off the cost of my N gague !!!lol
A nice fun video & loving your train videos and i did spot the change in your nail varnish🚝
That was both neat and awesome. Looks like fun.

We have had displays at both the London Transport Muesum and the Middleton Railway model railway weekends of Lego and similar systems
Entertaining! Lego has come on a tad since I was a kid 🙂
Well done Rebecca. That looked great fun.
Oh God… my eight year has this exact set. I’m not letting her see this!
How long before Paul visits this as a disused station?
I can't stop laughing at the idea of a future video; when the Paul and Rebecca Lego figures visit the disused station.
"It was here in January 2024 that the train ran off the tracks. No one was hurt. Everything was set right, when a giant hand lifted the train back onto the track."
does the direction of travel make a difference look at track joints maybe traveling the clock wise way would have less resistance ?? cool video :)
and that's why lego should have rechargeable battery hubs.
Fit rechargeables and a solar panel on the roof
Nice video Rebecca, Shame they couldn't have included an extra power car type of thing rather than having a 'blunt' end.
That's to encourage you to buy another set to complete it! £££
Gutted that we didn't get to see it with the lights on in the dark 😮
I know....me too....wasn't till I completed the video I realised I had forgotten that....🤦🏻♀️ might make a Short of it. 👍
"Attention passengers, due to low voltage reaching the motors we will be operating at a reduced top speed. We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause."
And the next station will be the one we left 5 seconds ago, 10 seconds ago, 15 seconds ago...
Try assembling Concorde it takes a few nights but well worth it.

Lego. Trains. Rebecca. What's not to like about this video, eh?
Haha that was brilliant hun 🤣👌❤️
So how long did it take to build because I loved the nails changing colour half way through 😅
👍
In the words of my inner child: MOAR L:EGO!
Choo Choo! 👍🌍🦘⭐️😎
Are you going to build a Lego "Replacement Bus Service"?!
Ooooo never thought of that, as a person who travels for pleasure as it were I avoid that situation when I can.

Great fun😁😁😁. What batteries and would rechargeables make a difference?
most out of pack duracells or similar start at 1.6v, rechargables seem to be 1.44v
Nice one indeed Rebecca. Btw what's the pupple's name?
Rebecca the Builder...... doesn't quite have the same ring as Bob the Builder 😉
But a lot prettier

May I ask how long it took to build I couldn’t help but notice you know V&A had changed
what sort of batteries doe it use ?
AA 👍
Longer than an EV 😅😂
Interesting 🤨, good learn about more lego
