we live in the age were random people on youtube make what we want to see and multi million dollar productions make stuff that's not even worthy of a youtube video.
3 min attention span... Gtfo😂😂😂😂😂 nuance audience..naunce...
That's because these short films are passion products.
Can confirm.
So many good short films on here you wish went for longer aye.
10-20 mins or even a few mins of something really engaging can change your day.
I love all scifi that portrays space in this way. Majestic, austere, serene, there's a place for battles and intense action but most of space travel should be just like you showed it here! Amazing work
I hope we don't bring warfare to space but until we evolve into something greater we will.
For most, there is space enough for everyone
@@cavejohnson982It's not room to grow that will drive us to the stars. It's the vast resources that can be found in cosmic bodies. Floating, orbiting, drifting, for millennia, maybe for millions of yrs, untouched.
Will the universe be any poorer if a handful of asteroids get eaten by giant, autonomous machines? Or maybe it's a whole planet of some distant system. Maybe it's a moon. All uninhabited. So why not.
Or we find unicellular life on a handful of moons and their mother planet. Will it matter if we chew up just one of those moons? The hypothetical planet has a dozen. And we only need part of the moon.
Such eventualities make you wonder what ethical dilemmas we will face in future.
For now I just pray we make it there, bc that will mean we have a future
2001: A Space Odyssey is exactly like this. If you haven't seen it, you should.
i love that the blue ship is named asimov. that's a good nod towards one of the greatest sci-fi writers of all time.
i was sure someone would notice that
thank you all for the love, defenetly make me want to do more of it :)
read me comment then :)
Great job on this film, saw it on Oats Studios originally and I love it!
More movies!!
Now if only Hollywood could use cgi more responsibly, like here, the movies would be 10× more believable.
GOOD JOB.!!! ❤❤❤ IT.!!!
LETS VOLT IN...!!! 👍👍👍
The kind of movie I want to see... It is absolutely incredibly beautiful...
Same!
Consulat __ Interstellar
Ad Astra was quite beautiful
@lil trol That's basically what Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey was, except it was 2 and a bit hours.
Absolutely spectacularly beautifulllerly incredibly😂😂😂😂😂😂
I know this probably took an eternity to make but make more please lol.
It's like watching ballet.
All those years of effort, and toil. All of that practice training, working, crafting skills. The support put into the scenery, the math put into the movements. Years of it, unceasing - for the chance to work even harder.
And then you see it, and they make it look - effortless.
Spinning on point - changing D/V.
A leap, a jet, a pulse - a trusted partner waiting for the catch.
Never truly, weightless - but the eye can't tell the difference, and for a second or two the mind doesn't care.
It's so beautiful.
Fantastic work, you really have a talent for scale and realism. I can only hope there is more in this universe.
Hopefully if Asimov's Foundation trilogy is ever made into movies, you are a part of it.
Has anyone ever tried to make a Foundation movie?
@@dmellis not yet
Paul is a concept artist for the 10-episode series being done by Apple.
@@ajking913 I was more thinking a movie trilogy similar to LoTR that matches the original Foundation Trilogy. I am glad the artist is involved, but Apple+ is doing poorly right now. Offering a year free means they have reached peak desperation. I read they lowered their revenue guidance by $10+ billion.
Boy do I have news for you
The introduction that it is mars is a bit sudden but looks great better than a movie trailer
Brilliant work. The technical aspects like cad modelling and rendering are just incredibly well made. And the light setting brings everything to life
I'd like to see a TV series of this. But each season is a slice-of-life cross section of an entire generation of cleaners. Then after 100 seasons, terraforming is complete.
Foxyfloof like another expanse
Soap opera alert. No way it’s all actions for 100 seasons, that’s hardly possible for 100 episodes
Sense of scale on Somme of the shots is insane!
I don't want to start another battle of the Somme, but the word is 'some'.
This sort of movie I would go to cinema for. This sort of film would inspire the generations ahead to reach to the stars.
I love this. So much detail. It makes it so immersive
Some might just dismiss this as "just a docking sequence", and while it technically is that, it's so much more than just a docking sequence to me.
This short sequence is highly inspirational to me and my own work. The story, art and music lends so much atmosphere in a place where there is no atmosphere and that's something I want to convey in my cartooning. No matter how fantastical things I make can get, I want my portrayal of space to function similarly to how it did here; realistically and thus, believably.
That you so much for making this Mr. Chadeisson. I saw Oats Studios' upload of this work and I'm thankful Neill and company put me onto your work!
Its not that deep bruh
the tiniest little things can be the most impactful things for your career, i totally understand where you're coming from!
Thats deep buddy. May your heart be always this inspired ❤
@@wchristian2000 Have you ever glimpsed a world in a grain of sand? Or pondered the complexities of toilet seat while crapping?
looked like a docking scene
This reminds me of "2001: A Space Odyssey" - very well done
the art style and feel is very reminiscent of homeworld here
At first I thought it was about earth after ecological collapse... I guess maybe it still is?
Absolutely incredible work! I love the attention to the more background details: the markings on the shuttle, little ports and the slight attitude adjustments from the jets. Impeccable job!!
great designs and love the voice actor
ASTOUNDINGLY badass, truly a tremendous project, the kind of movie I would love to see!
Really the best talent I ve seen in animation this will be a great intro in space Engineers
It's been there for 4 years on Y.T and it's only now that i see it? Incredible level of details.
This video has stayed plastered in my recommended. I'm finally watching it....
When the hard work created indescribable talent and makes an amazing art piece !!! I love it so much !!
Hope you do some more and I’m so sharing with friends because it needs to be shared !!
Terraformed Mars❤ I love the visuals and the music😊
I've only recently stumbled across your work, but I can already tell from what little I've seen that it is truly incredible.
Congrats on the badass short film, and long life to that beautiful creation!
That was so satisfying to see. Story and shots really beautiful!
Now I want to see at least 2 hours of this :) Congratulations!
Absolutely stunning. Will be watching many more times. Well-done!
Fantastic work, the short conveys a lot of atmosphere and immersion. The music is epic as well and very fitting.
Goosebumps. I could watch a whole lot more of that. Amazing work all of you. perfect choice in music and voice. Very slick video.
So cool! I wish this was a full length film 😔
I can’t get over this stuff man! This is so refreshing, so glad that this exists, please keep moving forward. What makes this amazing is that it’s not the amazing, stunning visual graphics that drive your work, it is the story… BRAVO!!!
Love the visuals!!!!!! Amazing work Paul.
Spectacular cinematics! I really liked it. Reminds me of the expanse and their martian terraformation project.
I've been having my eyeballs on this since I first saw it on insta on multiple occasions. This is amazing ,keep going man, would love to see the design recognised and up in space one day.
It looks amazing Paul. I really hope I get to see more. All the best!
I think watching this just cured my cataract. Fantastic work.
Well done Paul, every frame looks insanely believable.
An absolute masterpiece!!! Love to see finally some quality hard sci fi content on youtube!!
You're a genius, designs and attention to detail are beyond anything I've ever seen. Visionary stuff - I love it.
"The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit." -Nelson Henderson
Absolutely LOVE your work, Paul. I want to play a game like a Cyberpunk / Eve Online, but it's all designed by you - with your supermassive artwork vibe. Incredible stuff.
"The dream of Mars isn't dead, it's about to be writ large."
Simply stunning!!! Excellent work! THANK YOU for making this!
The amount of detail is crazy. You should make a whole movie/series
ISS when it levels up.
Absolutely awesome! The mood of this clip is amazing. CONGRATZ!
Homeworld vibe 101%!!
1960: we need cinema-scope. Make it wider!
1980: hmm, this 4:3 TV image just doesn't feel cinematic like that foreign 16 by 9 film I watched, let's put some bars in it for less resolution
2000: these TV's must be 16 by 9, it's cinematic, and an international standard now.
2020: this 16 by 9 image isn't cinematic enough...
I would watch entire series of documentaries if they were made with this quality
Breathtaking dude! I wanna watch that over and over again.
Awesome work, brilliant visuals and wonderfully matching music and voice.
Brilliant! Love me some Sci-Fi!
The tone and cadence of the narration bespoke a reverence mirrored in the way you chose to animate the sequence. Beautiful, beautiful work in all capacities.
I'm speechless it's so beautiful. I hope you will show us more from this universe.
Beautiful piece! Absolute power... exquisite cinematography.
Dude, so glad I found you on Instagram... been excited to see this. Amazing quality on sound engineering & frame by frame a great launching pad for a story. I wanna sign up and be a Migrant!
Looks like Homeworld had a say in your influences.
beautiful and stunning work man. love the music
Mind-blowing! Please make more!! I'm addicted to sci-fi space films :D
Stunningly beautiful! Thank you!
Dam i'd love to watch more, this was dreamy
this is so good!!!! everything about it is so good holy
Excellent, love this, well done.
This was beautiful, incredible work!
amazing work would love to see part -2 hope netflix get involved and you get to make an extended one
I would love to see some behind the scenes, maybe you already have some, but this is just amazing quality and I have always wanted to do something even a hundredth as cool. Truly an amazing talent you have. If i could make something of this quality no matter the views, I would feel extremely accomplished. Good job man
Stunning work man, i wuold love to see this move :)
Gorgeous! Amazing work!
Magnifique. Soundtrack really atmospheric and graphic are stunning! Keep up the good work :)
This just left me wanting MOOOOORE.
Looks better than most of what I see coming out of Hollywood these days.
Finally! always hoping you would make longer animations of your spaceships.
This is awesome. Congrats Paul!
Verry nice visual and sound/voice support Paul ! looking forward to your next art ;)
What a superb piece of cinema, you make hollywood blush!!
Great work, Paul! This is visual pleasure.
Love the sound design!!!
Someone in the film and TV industry needs to put your talents to work. Outstanding!
Dude how am I just finding this. The is beautiful. Thank you for bringing this to the world. I’m always looking for visual creations that stand up to the ones I’ve read about from authors such as Banks Hamilton Reynolds. Most don’t hold up but your work is amazing
Your work is AMAZING literally AWESOME!
Great work Paul, you nailed it!
Fantastic! A worthy predecessor to “Solstice - 5”. Please keep up the great work. Thanks again to Marcus House for turning me on to your channel.
Breathtaking. Beautiful.
Incredible work you put here!
this is amazing - so beautiful to look at....remember though..it's all about the story.....great story + beautiful graphics = solid movie.
Blade Runner vibes from a space scene.. I absolutely love it
Great modelling. What would help to sell the space theme is to get rid of the fog or volumetric shading. There is no atmosphere ion space. Also, the light from the sun in space is sharp as there is nothing to diffuse it, so shadows should be crisp.
Stories like this demonstrate the disconnect between possible and actual, Mars is too small to keep an atmosphere, it is too far from the sun to be viable for plant life and correcting those issues runs into the three body problem.
Wow! This is so sick! Great work Paul!
Your videos is perfect!!!!!!
Fantastic film. I cannot believe its 4 years since production 😊👍🏼🙏
Wow, great video!
Fantastic....such realism!!!!!
The most tragic story ever imaged: humans infect Mars
Nice film..... more please.
Incredible Paul! Just incredible!
