- If you are worried that brokers wont work with you as a new authority, this video should put those worries to rest. Here I discuss the numbers from December of our 3 year old "OG company" and our new authority baby company.

You need to include equipment depreciation in your cost equation that truck will die one day and needs to be replaced from reserve capital.

Watching this video in Sept 2023 after one of your market update videos... I'd love to see fall 2023 Miranda's reaction to this Dec 2021 video with the high rate per mile and awesome income. Hopefully the industry will get back there!
Care to share that load board haha averaging $4 per mile is very good with that many miles driven I only see $4 a mile on shorter runs Nothing long they are like 2.50 for dry. Id be living great if I could even get an average of 3.50. I am a brand new authority however. I actually got my authority by following the steps in one of your videos so thank you!
February? No load board. Give it another 3-4 weeks and the market will be back up :)

You're recommending people get into trucking, but this market is inflated and will pop very soon. Buying trucks and trailers, also at inflated prices. So, when the market corrects itself; and it will, those people will have little to no chance of surviving.

Thank you! At that time, our truck and trailer was paid off- no payments. And the driver was my business partner who did owner draws

Can you make a video on how to pay yourself as a fleet owner, owner operators and taxes ? I just got my authority in October and I have 2 o/0 leased on to me, I’m tryna avoid getting hit with taxes down the line if u can help I appreciate it

Great question! In the monthly videos I do not talk about our company driver operated trucks. Only owner operated trucks. This is why there is no driver salary, workers comp or payroll taxes included.

I'm currently in single pull RV transport with a ram 2500. I'm considering getting into hotshot hauling cars and or whatever. Would it be a good idea to do so? With the extra money for a trailer and equipment? I have a cdl class a with all endorsements other than hazmat

Where are the dispatch fees? Net goes to the owner operator, so how are you ( your company) getting paid for your services to the o/o

We pay 70 CPM on all miles, and after 6 months, 75 CPM on all miles. We use odometer readings for mileage

You didn’t mention not one time the driver pay. You can’t have a net and not include the driver pay.
You are 100% correct, there is no driver pay. As I keep mentioning in my videos, the monthly reports are on owner operated trucks, meaning my business partners (owners of the company) are also driving. We dont do salary, we do owner draws. I do not show videos of our company driver operated trucks at this time.
Just a question do you have drivers for your trucks? And if you do, do you include the driver pay into the expenses?

The net income goes to the Driver who is also the owner of the truck. Prob what is not included are dispatch, payroll, accounting, tax expenses.
good job , but still you have to pay taxes, do IRS require you to all expense receipts for 12 months or you don't need to keep receipts?
I keep all receipts just in case of an audit :)

0 went to the driver. As I always say, these are numbers for Owner Operated trucks not hired drivers. These are my partners in the company driving

My business partner travelled across the US to at least 50 dealerships, while I was sitting and refreshing the page on truck paper. Finally, we came across Truck Country IL- they have awesome trucks!

If you live in the U.S and have at least a Permanent Residence, you can definitely create your own LLC.

At the moment, I do not dispatch any more outside carriers.

Its insurance for interstate operations. For our new company, we are using progressive insurance.
@@TruckingMadeSuccessful oh wow...progressive gave you a rate for that little?! You must have an amazing agent. I have 0 accidents, have had my business for almost 2 years, and my CDL for 5. The closest i got was Berkshire-Hathaway, for $1696/month.
