This may be the best air show video I've made so far. This was the second flight of their Thursday practice. The diamond first flew at 12:00 PM for about an hour to conduct their site survey, then the solos did their site survey around 1:15 PM for about 30 minutes. They took a lunch break then did their full routine at 3:00 PM sharp!
Since the spot I chose for the Thursday practice was by the airport terminal, there was NO MUSIC at all AND it was right by show center (just slightly left) which allowed for an amazing takeoff experience!
I bought new equipment to help get better video and I've learned more about Adobe Premiere Pro to enhance the audio at perfect levels. A variable ND filter allowed me to decrease the shutter rate down to 1/50 and keep the aperture at f/4 on my lens which gave an incredible cinematic effect! Unfortunately when it goes out of focus, it REALLY goes out of focus especially when I zoom in and out.
The audio was taken by my TASCAM DR-05 with a windmuff on it to cancel out the wind (best buy ever). Then in post production I enhanced the audio by using a compressor, stereo expanded, ev leveler and hard limiter.
