Definitely a timeline changer, in more ways than one. The Staunton Plaza construction site shouldn’t exist. I have said it before - I don’t think CJ would willingly kill Catalina, he was just filled with frustration at the state of the garage and the situation he and his friends were: in a strange place, a contract on their heads, most likely and destitute. CJ would lose Cesar’s respect and trust if he killed Catalina, and Catalina helping CJ alone is something Cesar would criticise Carl about if he killed her. And if Catalina really wanted CJ dead, she would’ve killed him.
