I know it's a silly point, but i'm sure Chris would appreciate this. The new office looks great, but the "S" on the desk (the acrylic letters SRUK) is upside down. Everytime I see it, I get a little shiver. Please alter it, and settle my OCD mind! - cheers boys. Great vids, keep up the good work! 😃
The informal chats and work discussions between you guys is making a massive difference and has brought a much more personal feel to the channel lately. It really does show the genuine relationship of two hard working guys, in the trade, rather than just another UA-cam channel creating content. I reckon since we went to the 2 videos a week the quality has gone up a level so defo the right move.👍
Seems to me that money takes second place to the actual process of bringing back a wrecked vehicle to life. You are admirable.
Guys just a suggestion but get the roof of the new container sprayed with "Grafo Therm". Its expensive but absolutely brilliant. Condensation in the container just doesnt happen. I bought a 20 foot container to keep my furniture for three years while I designed and built my house. No condensation, no mildew no mold. even paper comes out dry with nothing growing on it. I know you will be putting carparts in it but if you want to keep them in great condition get it treated. You dont have to spray the sides just the roof

The number crunching in the office is great. It is the first time that Chris has almost asserted himself as the ship’s captain. He looks in command of all he surveys. You should both sit behind the desk. And use visual aids during the crunch. Like little troublesome parts and pieces.or magic parts that come from subscribers. Love the Audi. Salvage Rebuilds is still my guilty please, I’m not even that in to cars, just simply enjoy the content. Yet again such quality boys, still think it’s ace that in the early days Chris was usually a pair of hands and never heard. Now rightly so he sits behind that lovely desk like an absolute boss, You boys set both set such a high standard. All the best with your expansion plans 👍👊
Note the container is Cor-Ten steel, way tougher than 'normal' mild steel and doesn't rust the same ( it sort of gets a patina that doesn't corrode in any meaningful way ). you see a lot of architectural stuff done in Cor-Ten.
Guys I absolutely love the fact that your so transparent with how much every car costs to repair and what profit each car makes you.. but you really don’t to explain to anyone what your earning and how.. you guys work your socks off and do such a good job repairing the cars you deserve every penny of that profit.. as always keep up the awesome work an I can’t wait for the next project

To your last point about not counting hours: As I see it, in effect, you make an experience-based judgment with each car whether it will be worth the effort. Sometimes (rarely) you give up on one if it turns out to be too much. You know what works and what doesn't. That is part of what makes your channel so interesting. Onward and upward!!

I used to deliver containers like that 30+ years ago , we didn't have remote controls then just a length of rope tied to the container & held in one hand whilst using the controls on the side of the tractor unit 😜 Good video as always lads .
Rob, that mileage does not correlate with km. if you convert it comes out at 42844 miles. Its more likely that the MOT Tester mistyped and should have entered 47952. That would tally with the average mileage across the previous years and the next two MOT's. Keep up with the good work you and Chris both do.

Just love your work chaps. Inspired me to do loads more myself. Changed the clutch, all oil seals, brakes and ABS, all suspension and bushes on an old mini one recently spurred on by the channel. Nowhere near what you do but a world away from my usual staring at spreadsheets! Even used car vertical when I bought this one 👍

It's watching you guys that has made me accept cat N vehicles. I've never had one until my recent vehicle and honestly I'll do it again and again and again. If they are done right, it's the best way to have something a little nicer for your budget. 😊 oh and I wish the q5 was auto! Good work chaps.

Black always shows any blemish and that definitely came out well. You will be not holding that for long at that price specially as its not recorded. The office Rad looks really good. I wanted to do that for a bathroom refurb but the shop bought actually worked out cheaper by a fair margin.

Chris, i have a A6 so i know what you mean when you say is in another level. I drive other cars, even newer and what Audi done with the A6 is impressive, is not as solid as the C6 platform used to be but is almost there and way ahead of the competition.
Nice to know there is some genuine repairer who are honest in there vehicle restoration

I wouldn't have thought an 8 ft wide container was wide enough for a spray booth , maybe they're going to build one between it and the gate on that hardstanding that they concreted late last year

The Q5 looks amazing - great rebuild. I don't think there can be any doubt that you guys always tell buyers that the cars have been repaired - imagine most of them will have watched the videos of the work being done! In different circumstances - such as if this Q5 had been newer, it might have been repaired at a dealers bodyshop or an Insurance approved repairer and then it would never be known that it had been in accident. I think a lot of cars that are a few years old will have had some bodywork or paint done at some point and most people would not be able to tell - just a fact of life IMO!

Rack that container out, and bag and tag all the parts as you strip a car, it will take a bit of time, but will save you more time when you come to put each project back together again.

Think the mileage error was because the “68952” was entered instead of “48952” which would put the mileage in the right area between the other 2 mileages either side of it. 68952km is around 43000 miles which would make it a lot earlier. Just my guess Rob and Chris.
