As long as you see the road, you're good to go.Strongly not recommended driving against flooding road since the road can be collapse due quick dirt underneath the road
Turning around and going back home is exactly what I’d do but I drive a 2015 Honda accord sport only 5 inches of clearance with a lifted truck id do it
Where was this? This looks like either Day County or Marshall County in South Dakota. There were some bad years where at least 80% of Day County and at least 65% of Marshall County were under water. All the sloughs and Coulees were full and overflowing.
why cant americans forbie, fuck me seen a whole let less of this in australia with complete flooded roads and riving crossing n with a forbie we go over em cause we gotta. you leave how to drive it, watch the river, your car, the road watch everything and cross the thing. the town i grew up there was 1 bridge to connect the 2 sides and it flooded every 2-3 years. what'd we do, we crossed it. what i'm saying is always be safe and always know what your car can handle but if you car can handle it like these ones could why would you not its half the fun of having a forbie
Any water like that gives me the heebie jeebies! Sure it looks calm but use your imagination!?!? Also, all that filthy dirty water high in your vehicle's engine area, no thanks Better to wait a bit (flood water might recede faster than you think) or find a way around it.
I had a buddy try this, he was dumb enough to think if he could see the lines on the road he was fine. Till the road collapsed underneath his car and he damn near drowned.
the water wasnt moving too fast but i felt the water pushing my truck a little and i decided i wasnt worth losing my truck over it i guess you could say i lost my nerve lol
These are ideal conditions for crossing flooded roads. Shallow, clear standing water or shallow, clear, slow flowing water are absolutely fine to cross in most cases. You can see the road, so you know it's there and hasn't been washed away. It's not deep enough to dampen the carpet let alone drown the engine, and it's not flowing fast enough to carry the car away. Just go slow, put it in 4wd if possible and pay careful attention. Keep to the side the water is flowing from as that's less likely to have sucked away the base beneath the road and collapse from underneath you, and if you do start getting swept away you have time to react.
*sees high waters sign submerged on road*
"Yeah I don't know about this..."
no shit sherlock

*videos that give me anxiety
Me being me I would just end up driving off the road

i would still drive in the water because it’s satisfying to watch for some reason

I’m glad his friend said something. Then the road got curves in it. I was getting nervous for them!!!
When the camera moved , I just knew they fell in the river.

We have a big truck so we can go in big floods
I'll use Monster Tires and I'll use a Dodge Ram 1500
Moving water can sweep u!
Literally my thought
Whenever he turns to watch the side, I got anxiety because I can't see front 😂
Grandpa: Stupid? Stupid?!! I'll let you know that back in my day I drive though flooded towns to go to get to school young man!
he drove across water on the road? why is this a big deal? my wife has drove through more water than this on the way to store.
I have dreams like this wth. I wonder what they mean.
I just watched a landrover drive through a flood half way up the windscreen/windshield and this guy gets his lug nuts wet and bails hahaha.
He did the right thing
You ever heard of an edit button.. Comeon bro and what are you even doing with the damn camera
Probably New Orleans
Not New Orleans, not even Louisiana.
What state is this in?
There are no hills in New Orleans. I was guessing North Carolina.
I had to drive through worse in order to get to work almost a month ago
Buy a Range Rover.
What is the condition of this road now?
There's five and a half minutes I'm never going to get back.
In my neck of the woods, country roads are NEVER a straight shot to a main road. Don't do this shit ever again!
1. This is not your area
2. All country roads lead to another FM road which leads to a Highway.
I'm trying to understand the purpose of this video?
U can see the road it's fine in a 4x4.
Still not wise, the road can give way
Where’s this at
that’s it? lmao iv been through way deeper
Where was this?
Wow
