Thank you Rivka 😊 I have been dressing modestly since I was introduced to Judaism 10 years ago but after your teaching I realize some of my speech needs a makeover also ! Todah Rivka 😊. Blessings and Shalom ♥️🙏🇮🇱
Hi Rivka and thank you for your teachings to us women. When we visit our son and family in Australia, we are visibly SHOCKED at some of the clothes the people wear. Young people mostly with extremely short shirts and low necklines and they are up the front sharing! I find I have to tell myself not to judge them as Australia is a hot country and we are from the UK. But I am more shocked that the leadership allow them to dress like this! I do also notice in the UK a tendency to dress down for church, which can be OK but on one occasion the preacher came in the clothes he had been wearing all week painting in! You are right we all have a conscience and we should be listening to the Holy Spirits still small voice!
Hello Margaret! Thank you so much for your kind response. I as well am amazed at what people are wearing now. And I agree, the leadership is not standing up as they should nor are they showing proper respect to the L-rd in their behavior and dress. May you be richly blessed.
Thank you, Rivka.. As you say, "Modesty is not drawing attention to ourselves" "People are watching us..God is watching us." I want to be modest.. God bless you, Rivka 🙏🏻
I remembered that your husband (Baruch) had mentioned on the channel "Amarás Israel" that you have a UA-cam channel... what a joy! I am a woman and also a wife, I like to follow channels that build pious sisters. In my case it is a bit difficult for me to understand English but I try (and that's good for me haha 😅)... I know that dubbing must be somewhat expensive, but a suggestion would be to consider it for the future 😊 Shalom
Modesty. It really is an attitude of the heart. While visiting Israel we attended a congregation where many women were dressed, not necessarily immodestly but dressed down. When I was young people in general tended to dress up appropriately for church. I don't know how it is in Jewish circles but it certainly seems to be that way in churches who claim to be followers of Jesus . In a Hebraic assembly I know, women are being encouraged to wear a hijab (the wife has come from a Muslim background). They also strongly encourage women not to wear make up. Now, I do wear some make up. Without it, I would not be showing love to my brother. Lol! I think the key is motivation and moderation. The Scripture that speaks of not making the outward adorning of ourselves be the emphasis is true and good.Dressing ostentatiously isn't of YeHoVaH but neither is making up rules that do not pertain to the faith. How do you see this? Plz give me your thoughts.
Shalom Lina! Thank you for your comments. I am also aware of some extreme groups in Judaism which are embracing a kind of "burka" attire. Howver, I have not seen a hijab on a Jewish woman. There is a moderation of showing proper kavod (honor) to the L-rd when coming before Him in worship and praise, yet not being ostentatious in front of others. One reason I did not mention specifics (such as long sleeves only, dresses below a certain point, etc.) is that if we have the Holy Spirit living within us (as all believers do) we should have a moral compass which tells us that something is not covering enough of our bodies. However, it is always good to remember not to err on the side of over-doing it as well. In this video, I am encouraging each of us to remember that G-d is everywhere and that we need to always show Him honor and also be a good witness to others. Blessings!
Thank you for this video on modesty. Letting the Holy Spirit guide me in what is modest is better than letting the world guide ne.
Thank you, Amen 🙏
