Animal Crossing just makes me so happy. I played 'wild world' and 'let's go to the city' everyday in my childhood. And since I got 'new leaf' I am always playing it. I've spent over 600 hours in 'new leaf' only, not counting all the endless hours on the other games. I simply love this franchise and it still maykes my heart melt even though I am turning 21 soon. I will always have a soft spot for this game, it really means a lot to me
All about Granny it may not be as fun if you played it now, because the new ones are updated in many ways, but it was fun as heck in the early 2000s when it was new and you had 3 others to play it with.

Each game stood on its own with its own special features, charm, amazing soundtrack. This franchise is perfect. Like the concept is so easy that so many other studios have tried to emulate but they CAN NOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO THE MAGIC OF ANIMAL CROSSING 😍😍😍

I play both religiously, but city folk focuses more on simplicity, do what you want, no rush While new lead focuses on complexity,.. traveling to the island, the town initiatives, the 4 different types on currency.. having to unlock shops.... I find myself playing new leaf more because it's new to me ( only had it for 2 weeks, but completed multiple public works projects, and unlocked a few shops) also it's portable...but playing city folk brings me back to the 5 year old me... But both are excellent games, it just depends on what you want to do

I was 11 or 12 when animal crossing came out on gamecube and my friend got me into it when i came to spend the night at her house. Then i begged my adult bff (she was in her early 20s at the time. 16 years older then me) to buy it so i could play it at her house on the weekends and she got it. She thought it was stupid til she saw me playing it and then she got addicted to it. Now we both play it. Gamecube, city folk, new leaf and happy home designer. Played those 4. Cant wait for switch. 😂😂😂 im 27 now.
