I got the platinum in Outriders, I thoroughly enjoy the game. Wish matchmaking was better too bad the game is abandoned but every now and again I get the nostalgia to play.
This game had tons of promise, but had a rough release, and the potential was like 80% realized. The weapon crafting was good as well, way more liberating than other games, and it was fairly easy to understand. Just wish they actually committed to this game. They kept saying it wasnt a live-service game but everyone expected and treated it as a live-service game, and it had all the downsides of the live-service game without the benefits. If they actually set out to make it to be a live-service game, i think they wuld have a lot more success and they'd stick around. But because they were in constant denial of live-service, the playerbase didn't commit to the game, just like the developer didn't commit to it. I also had the error where my account was just completely locked out for a month. Nothing was done, until a developer directly reached out to me on Discord, and he and I did some additional troubleshooting, and then eventually he said he will have to manually re-build my account, and finally it worked. After month of fucking troubleshooting it. Props to the developers for personal touch, but goddamn. The expansion was also not big enough for me to give them money, but I did buy the base game. It did have a TON of major technical issues. Other than the above-mentioned lock-out, I had issue where I had a crafted god-tier gun, and one day, after a patch, it was just replaced with a level 1 basic gun. Why? Who knows. And after submitting tickets etc etc no one did anything about it. I think that was my last straw. Like I said, the game had all the downsides of shitty live-service game without any of the benefits and developers were in denial about what game they made.
yeah i agree on one side release "features complete" game is really rare and i was happy that not all games needs to be live service games for that reason there is no cashshop your visuals matters and so on but on the other hand i agree that it felt always like abandoned live service you wanted to see more things added over time and just have that feeling that there is new season comming. how ever if they would release roadmap and said there will dlc every year that will add more stuff i think it would be great i would return for sure that sux yeah theese issues like disepearing items network instability and others were big problem that hurt them right at the beginning when people were hyped for the game. and i think they missed so much with the expansion it could been absolut blast if they would really made something that is replayable for long period of time but the static map with no changes just wasnt a good choice. if they would create more boss encountress more maps that would change around every single time you enter with different enemies every time i think just that would made it so much better because things to grind for were there but getting was a pain. but overall i personally enjoyed my time with this and i got my money worth for sure hope the outriders two will keeps the good things and in areas where they failed :)
Build making in Outriders is the best in the whole genre, imo. The mod system is fantastic. Other looters are like "gain 6% crit damage." Outriders was like "every 1.5 seconds your shots spawn a black hole that sucks in enemies, and a hand comes out of the ground and shoves a grenade up the ass of every enemy in a 5m radius"
I just recently starting gaming again after 18 years. I found that I love 3rd person looter shooters. Found outriders and loved it. The I found it was abandoned and left for dead. Too bad. Gameplay and story for me was amazing. Wish they kept working on it.

The great thing about this game is how it handles loot. In other games legendaries and above are the top teir of weapons and gear outriders does the opposite and lets you upgrade junk items like greens and blues into powerful items able to take on the endgame. As a guy who believes warframe has the best loot system in the genre I’d go as far as to say outriders loot is my 2nd favorite with borderlands coming right behind it. Plus the endgame is really really fun I look at it as everything chaos chambers in wonderlands failed to be I just wish this game had an offline mode for when inevitably the servers get shut down.
I've been playing the Division 2 lately and it always brings me back to Outriders. Ubisoft really doesn't understand what makes games fun long term. I always get to a certain point and get bored with the division or any Ubisoft game. They force you to do too many look for and find quests that sidetrack from the best part of the game, which is the combat. So, I would get frustrated with the Division 2 and come back to Outriders. The combat and gameplay loop is just much more satisfying. I've made a few different characters and builds that are so fun and feel OP. It is a huuuuuge grind once you get past apocalypse tier 20 but it is for me my main go to grinder and I've recently been playing it a ton. It's just a damn fun game! PCF Please give us Outriders 2!!
Division2 came with few good things but the lategame grind just havent took me that much. One thing that outriders nailed was the power fantasy of the clasess you really feel like a badass when you smashing everythig around. Hope they working on second one 🤗👍
Apocalypse tier was a mostly pointless grind for little reward or additional challenge. Once you had a finished build by tier 15 you could easily change nothing up to 40 and just keep your gear leveled and it would feel like nothing changes. But the ascension and pax tree were good additions
I really enjoyed this game. Played through the story once for each one of the 4 characters. I recently went back to start over with a second Trickster from the beginning. I remember when I first played it, match-making was a real pain point, and the have and have-nots in terms of who had the Deathshield/Fortress gun/mod drop (which I never did get until just now - 3 years later). Solo players can get a lot out of it but I feel it's more geared to co-op, at least in the endgame grind. Nevertheless, I do recommend it for people looking to scratch that sci-fi looter/shooter itch who haven't played it yet.
I feel if they would hit better the endgame and there would be actual variety in encounters some random events and make it more like roguelike in general i feel i would have much better thoughts after finishing the expansion Ps. Wait for project red i would say its 100% sequel to outriders 😎👍
I played Outriders and had a blast. Of course it had its issues and high potential as with a lot of looter shooters. I hope they decide to revisit this game and create a second game with everything the first was missing.
The game was fire, just so many server issues. Then when they put out the DLC, they nerfed all the meta builds, so all that time was wasted. I was stuck, I couldn't get better with old gear and the new gear was hard as hell, THEN you had to grind. Nope. I quit out of pure frustration.

yeah agree but imo 200 hours for a game is more than enough ;) not all games need to have content for thousands of hours sometime its better to keep it at the low end and just make it god damn good. Exactly the opposite than what is happening nowdays with newly released games. Everything got to be live service full of MTX to be here forever :)
Play, i tried my best to amass a decent list of players to continue to play with. I still want to play with others, I like to play the story and End Game both. PC is my platform choice but that really doesn't matter. I guess all in all i wished i had people to play with again. So much fun to be had. I still play Anthem too. If anyone reads this post feel free to ask for my info for group up.
Outriders is a great game. I'm just concerned about playing it. I'm scared I'll really get into it and they'll cut off the servers. There's no true office mode. Everyone I had a disconnect it kicked me out
yeah understand but you know if you finish the story and farm a little bit of endgame that will take you something like 50h of gameplay so i think by than servers will still be on and also there is not many player right now so you will have always spot to play :)
@@johnd2196 the servers are only used for authentication and anti hacking, multiplayer is connected through peer to peer and the game isn’t a live service game so there is no reason to think they’ll be shut off any time soon, they aren’t expensive to maintain at all.
I have a question about how do I talk to jackub I have gotten to the point of setting up camp is that character in the camp area ,if not where do I find him to get further in the game , I have spoken to Tanner at this point, thanks for response.
He is standing on the hill on the opposite side from the fallen tree. you have to wait a bit before they move the truck to be able to pass and reach him. hopefully it helps. :) btw enjoy the game
Hola.... I was so late for this game. Only started a month ago.... I stopped actually because the control set up is so slow... I increased it in the game but still not good. You miss half the shot hahaha because it's slow to respond. But then I gave it another chance to get use to it... Dang it was annoying and the jumping and everything... Lol. But I stuck with it.... I am loving it hahaha... Agree outriders 2 will be nice....

like yea both are looter shooters but there is a lot that sets them apart. imo outriders is more on the rpg side where you have more control over your abbilities and progression but maybe i just havent got deep enough into the tfd :) and one thing that i really dont like about tfd is visual progression of the character.

Outriders & TFD are similar, but outriders is a pure power fantasy

For me outriders died as soon as the players started cheating and the developers didn’t do shit about it smh
yeah it sucks but i have not played with randoms so it never touch my expirience. However for sure its not good for a game and the players.
