"MSNBC announced early Wednesday morning that Stephanie Ruhle is interviewing Vice President Kamala Harris in her first one-on-one television sit-down since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee.
The Harris campaign has come under scrutiny for limiting their candidates’ media availabilities with no traditional press conferences and only a handful of challenging interviews. Harris and her running mate, Governor Tim Walz, spoke with CNN’s Dana Bash in the last week of August - in what is, thus far, her only national television interview since taking the top spot on the Democratic ticket. Harris has also done local news interviews and a conversation with Oprah Winfrey. The sitdown with Ruhle is new, but given the network that will exclusively air the conversation, it’s unclear whether any needle will be moved."

What made me laugh was Ana's comment was "how will Harris get this through Congress?" Harris CAN'T answer that right now because she doesn't know which party will control Congress. If Dems take control of the House and can kill the filibuster in the Senate, getting her plans through will be FAR easier than it would be if the GOP owns both chambers and Mike Johnson announces that he will refuse to vote on any bill she wants.
Obviously, her means of achieving her goals depends on a MAJOR X factor and people are upset that she's not psychic enough to know how to achieve her pretty darn specific goals???

Ana said in another segment a couple of weeks ago that surely Kamala has been to Europe. Kamala said she hadn't been to the border, but she hadn't been to Europe either. I imagine Kamala meant that she hadn't been to Europe since becoming Vice-President or in her capacity as Vice-President. Hard to say though just precisely what Kamala meant.

Virtually every single politician is asked that question “how will you pay for it” but none of them were given 2 months to answer that question. I think you are being too hard on Kamala about her answers not being as specific about taxes and how she will work with businesses to invest in the economy. I am in sales and business and I can tell you every negotiation or deal is different. I can know my industry or product very well but I cannot tell you specifics based on a general question. She answered the question. She is going to make sure the wealthy and businesses pay more tax. She has met with them and they agree they should pay more. The specifics will vary per industry and be laid out in bills or individual deals in the future. Each industry will be different. Each negotiation will be different. Regulations will be different to the particular situation. The details will change so she cannot answer specifically because that would be a lie she cannot promise will come to pass. Just trust she will raise their taxes, make them regulate to benefit the worker, and the details will come later in each individual scenario.

I have been running businesses since 1999. Taxes, which are paid only on profits, are not the problem! Becoming profitable is a challenge. Instead of focusing on raising or lowering taxes, let's find ways to reduce the cost of doing business (to become profitable) and, most of all, how to make qualified personnel available!
Yes exactly. I never know someone who didn't hire staff that was necessary to keep up with business because of tax rates.

Trump's tariffs will impoverish Americans by raising prices at the same time as his supporters expect him to lower them. Project 2025 will remove fundamental rights like the right to contraception and IVF and will attempt to dismantle democracy as Orban did in Hungary.
Trump also wants revenge and to throw his political opponents in prison. It's a monstrous plan, why aren't the media holding him to account for it?
