It seems for 100 years before that lead shot was not an issue. Same as 2 stroke boat engines seemed to not destroy any fish or run them into extinction between 1950 and 1995.

A lot of people in the comments don’t understand that if you acquiesce to a search for firearms to a law enforcement officer, they can legally search anywhere a firearm might be hidden.

How is it possible to poach wild boar?? They're invasive, destructive, and breed like crazy! It's open season ALL year on boars, just ask Texas....
Hunting at night spotlighting. Not tagging the pig. Tags are cheap but poachers like the chase. Like a millionaire who shoplifts, there's no thrill to them if they pay for it.

My step dad was a warden and they lie about how many they have. I worked booking in Oroville ca Butte county
I would have told the Game Wardens to leave property and get a warrant. These pigs expect people to give up their rights with no questions. Don't talk to law enforcement without a lawyer present
They don't usually need a warrant. - In California, fishing and game wardens are generally allowed to come onto private property pursuant to the Open Fields Doctrine. The Open Fields Doctrine allows wardens to enter onto private property without a warrant.

That’s California for you. They classified them as a game species with seasons and bag limits in the50’s to “protect the population”. Then put tag requirements on them in the 90’s and only this year lifted tag requirement and seasons that will go into effect in July.
Varies from state to state, country to country. In Canada they are considered invasive but night hunting is illegal here for any reason. They're more active at night but by no means are they strictly night dwellers. Some places even offer bounties on them but you would have to look them up. Some people have made careers for themselves hunting hogs.(you must've seen the shows?)

@@OntheHook55 Why is that? In Alberta where I live wild hogs are deemed as an invasive species and can be hunted and shot on sight with no permit and anytime of year. I think it shows a lack of intelligence to insult a person for asking a question. We all don't live in Ammuurrica.
@@KingDuumb did you watch the episode, and listen to what was said by the Wardens..?..In California, as with most states, hunting big game animals at night is ILLEGAL…it’s the law, like it or not….the wild pigs have been in California for hundreds of years, so I don’t believe they’re classified as ‘invasive’…just because Alberta allows indiscriminate nighttime shooting of these animals doesnt make it the world standard…Canadians have more issues to concern themselves with, than California’s pig hunting regs
