Absolute primitive dinosaur built for too easily pleased Australians. American executives at GM must have been belly laughing mixed with utter scorn four the market down there. Easy money! Ford and Chrysler forced GMH to acknowledge the latter half of the 20th Century and start building their passenger trucks to vaguely reflect the times they were in. This couldn't be more apparent than with the stark contrast between the EK and HT all in the same decade!!
Even though the cars were shit it was still a better world back then. Look around Oz today and it's just not the country Australia anymore. Just a free for all (well free for some...) economic zone. Like all of the West.
Too many items were non standard. This was the key problem. The basic cars were OK. The penny pinching was on things like carpets, disc brakes, radios, etc.
A thing of beauty.
This ad is just simply beautiful
Worst car ad I’ve ever seen
@@A.U.P.Fwhy is it the worst?
