The thing I love about Rafael is that he always puts Jane first, even when he does something douche, it is because he wants what's best for her. He is not perfect, but he loves her so selflessly and that's beautiful

I think that shows us how unserious the relationship was and how unimportant it is in terms of Jafael's story (because that's what the show was all along - Jane and Rafael's love story). It was actually Jane's first love, but it was a teenage, absolutely not serious love. Michel was Jane's first serious relationship, and when people think first love, they mean first serious relationship. Jane with Adam was a stupid, naive teenager in love. As Xo and Alba said, she was acting completely out of character. 18-year-old Adam and almost 30-year-old Adam were kids who wanted just fun, not a serious relationship. Adult Adam had trouble understanding that Jane was no longer 18 and was a grown woman with a child.

I hope he can find a way to trust her again. She always let her fears keep her from pursuing him. I never how Xo never has supported them equally as she did Micheal either. Jane & Rafael have been messy but their lives have been intertwined since they met. Faye has a plan for them.
This is because Xo thought Rafael was very similar to Rogelio and didn't want Jane to go through what she did. She considered Michel a better and safer choice for Jane. Xo grows to love Rafael over time (just like Alba and Rogelio). Already in season 3, Xo pushes Jafael. In 4&5, he is very supportive of Jane and Rafael's relationship. She is very happy when Raf asks for a blessing to propose to Jane. Throughout season 5, he stands behind Rafael
I just started to watch this show recently and I´m rooting these two so much. What amazing character arch Rafael has had. One of the best ones I´ve ever seen on a series. #TeamRafael

He is not perfect but he did everything for her even if that meant to let her go. He did everything for her happiness because he want her happy. But now that they found their way back I don't see the point of a break up.

I so love these two and it definitely makes me wonder what is going to happen now that the season of four ended with her husband back from the dead. Makes me wonder because she I think should just take Raphael because he was there for her reminding her to be brave and bringing up the fact that she was a writer. He was always there when she needed help but it seemed like Michael was the type that she married but he was always busy with work, then turning into a lawyer then ending up somewhere else when she needed help. Sorry Michael, but there is a big spark when she is with Raph and they are just so right for one another
