They actually got the right people to speak for SA Hip Hop.. from the host , underground , OGs , new wave and most probably movement in the ground. S/O #Hennessy50
The evolution of Reece gives me goosebumps. No matter how they keep throwing stones at him. He keeps the cool energy. S/O to the G, and everyone one of them who made the show possible. Stogie, is an uncle of the game. He brings profound knowledge, and opinions which are out of this world. Moozlie, best for breakfast for real. Scoop, men you are an OG indeed. Party Time, your work is still visible till this day. 2000's wouldn't understand, but you played a pivotal role in game. S/O to everyone for your contributions. It was a nice show to watch, To SA HIP HOP. 🙌
Avery is a classic, Emtee was teaching us a different style of hiphop that we were never familiar with and doing it in African way that relates to a lot of us. I bump no stress, dreams, about me, mama, roll up, etc everyday. It's a pity that he's starving us music now. Someone tell Emtee we still waiting for DIY 3.

I think South Africa has a lot of classic albums. Empire of Sheep is classic ( production, lyrics etc), TKZee Halloween is a classic, Heads and Tales is a classic, The Offering by Optical Illusion is a classic, Umdlembe by Zola is classic, Masihambisane by Zuluboy is a classic, Emtee's first album is a classic, Skhanda Republic is a classic
Stogie being a bit of an old-head with the "no classics" comment...side eye😂 Loved seeing Moozlie here. Definitely had a huge impact on SA hip-hop, media and pop-culture x
20:02 point of correction: there is such a thing as Indonesian hip hop and especially South Korean hip hop - it just gets branded into Asian music or particularly kpop when it is anything but that. Not to take away from the overall discussion because South African hip hop has certainly created its own distinct sound of hip hop that anyone can identify and has a foothold in other countries.
Shout out to hip hop 50, Hennessy for acknowledging Esco. Nas is a Goat man I`m really happy to see him getting so much respect I guess this Jay z and Nas debate is over check out Nas King Disease and Magic Trilogy its fire
