When theres a video of backhand smash, theres always someone dont wanna lose by TH. Dude. He is a legend and move on. Give some support and love to the new one.
It's a combination of different factors: newer racket tech, taller players and hitting from the mid court base position results in a steep and fast backhand smash. Taufik's era was more a backhand smash down the line from the mid to rear court which meant the shuttle had to travel further, plus with his height hence not as 'crisp', but it still shocked his opponents at just how quick and unexpected it came at them.
No doubt Axelsen and Lee Zii Jia’s backhand smash definitely have more power and precise compared to Taufik’s. Even with better tech or what not, Axelsen and Lee Zii Jia’s backhand smash are still much better.
Well.... We can see they try to compare with Mr Backhand Taufik Hidayat. For me as a badminton social player, Taufik is much more variety of backhand skills while LZJ and Axelson focus on backhand smash when shuttle are short. While Taufik able to clear from his left corner to his right corner opponent by backhand which we rarely see current player able to do so. Both generations are superb in different ways.
taufik is the king of backhand, lee is king of backhand smash

Idk but seems like Axelsen and LZJ b-smashes are crispier than Taufik's
You gonna make Indonesian fans go rampage

He is the reason for changing my game from defense to attacking😃
The majority of people have forgotten Taufik, his backhand was unbelievably strong despite the racket at the time wasn’t as good as nowadays
If you hear close enough you can hear the song say lee zei jia !!
Really?! At what timestamp?🤣

TH popularized backhand smash, but LZJ introduced backhand smash with a full pirouette
@@NoName-vq3uoare you sure? 😂😂 Which came first, Kevin Sanjaya or LZJ? 😂😂😂
!!
his back hand will never look at smooth as taufik's. He was just on a different level
Nah, taufik’s backhand is overrated
Kevin Sanjaya : 👎
He comes nowhere to Taufik Hidayat. He is the backhand smash legend
