Dr. Eisenman gets so little recognition, yet seems to have great insights. Thx for posting.

Another great talk by Robert Eisenman. This bold and original thinker acquired his knowledge and wisdom outside the assembly line of faith-dominated educational programs that fed and constrained the academy of his day. His independent lines of inquiry and at times unconventional conclusions are worthy of further exploration and consideration by anyone who is interested in understanding the development of early Christianity.
Like most innovators who push the boundaries of consensus, not all of his theories will stand the test of time - but they point us in a direction that has been ignored or undervalued by far too many.

Couldn’t agree more, my current beliefs are formulated around his ideas. I always wished he delved deeper into the Ebionites and Nazarenes & gave a date for their gospels. I truly feel these texts were dated far too late considering these groups likely were the remnants of Jesus’ family, friends & followers.

He's a true hero for releasing the Dead Sea Scrolls that were being kept back!

Just imagine...over the centuries....all of the people who have been murdered/killed over the issue of how to worship a loving god.

And that’s why the consensus won’t sign off on it. They understand the gravity of the situation and what they would be saying would be an attack on the nations that have killed in the name of God, including the western countries.

The inherent racism that lies at the heart of religion is always skirted around - unless it suits one group over another.

I like to worship god with a burnt offering of goat salt pepper marinated in BBQ sauce with a touch of liquid smoke. Always a hit with not only God but all the lesser gods, Angeles, and not a few demons.

You're my favorite but you're wrong. The order of their birth is James, Joseph (called in the diminutive because he had his father's name, Jose), the twins Judas and Jeshua, and the youngest was Simon called Philip. They also had sisters. That is the order given by both gospels. Jacob, Jose, Juda, Joshy, and Simon. Simon Philip and Simon Kepha were distinguished through epithets. They actually all have an epithet though, originally. James the Just. Simon Keppa. Juda the Twin. Jose is the elusive one but he's called John for some reason and conflated with John. I presume because Jose was misunderstood to refer to the name Yohannon instead of Yoseph. That apostle goes to Armenia. He's mostly known as James younger brother which he was but later conflated with an apostle John who never existed. The apostle who Jesus loved was clearly ... the man who held the keys to his kingdom. The effeminate and jealous Shemayon called Keppa called Cephas called Petras called Peter. His closest companion and only beloved friend, Simon Cephas. That is the only person to whom he ever expressed his intimate affection. I wonder if that chaffed the homophonic Paul or his zealous companion Lucas. You are so right but Yeshu was sent to Egypt and that is why he was never raised among his sibling nor within Isreal. He lived in an Essene hospice because he had been presumed dying since his unusual birth when his twin was born alive but he was not. I know you know he suffered from a genetic heart defect.
