You should try this with a form! That way u can just push the gel or acrylic to that ~wavy~ look
OMG that's exactly what I was thinking when I saw that she was kinda making it more laborious than needed and wanted real-time feedback when picking a design.

These remind me of those unicorn horn nails. They have like ridges going at a diagonal.. reminds me of ice cream or something. It would be awesome if you ever did something like that and made one look like those pastel swirled marshmallows.

I had a boxful that I dropped and tried for a year-and-a-half to con my kids into sorting... Recently after a car accident and I was stuck in bed I went ahead and did itbut I needed my glasses and a magnifying glass to see the numbers 🤣

I also had a bit of a water decal habit i had them all sorted out in a shoebox and the cat knocked it down ...like HUNDREDS OF THEM...all dusty and staticky with cat hair😫.. and my "mixed" rhinestone jar is moving into a mason jar🤣🤣

Regarding the flame design, I think it was the double squiggles that were tripping you up. If you look up "lighter flame illustration" they usually only do one squiggle in the middle for such a narrow flame. Doing it as a gradient would also be cool. I love your experiments :)

I am so impressed with how you did that with the e-file. Im a nail tech. And I wasnt clever enough to think of that. I was originally thinking snipping it curvy and then hand filing wow. You're seriously clever and creative

Just a tip for when you're painting start w the dark color first, the light color will be more opaque against a dark bg. White is usually a highlight color meaning it would be good to use for highlighting certain areas. Also dont be afraid, have fun lol , hope it helps! 💜

I would have thought of doing this by sculpting the nails out of gel on a nail form. This was fun to watch, but I think you made it harder than it needed to be .

Also, when you had said they remind you of a flame- imagine painting it like a candle flame, with your actual fingernail part being the white colored🕯 "candle", and the fake tip being clear acrylic/gel at the base with a thin black gel line painted on it as the wick, leading up into the flame. How wick-ed would that be! 🤟😝 Lol 😂 Tfs Emily!! Love your creations!*

I watched a video where a lady used base coat for slip solution and she said it works amazing. Nailed by Nikki is her channel.She just had to use a different brush than the nail polish brush. You should try it too.

You have inspired me to do my nails again. I'm allergic to acrylic monomer and gel stuff.. but the did stuff works for me and polygel works too... so i have located some tips at home. I had glues from years ago... so i got a nail glue and also got super glue cuz it is basically the same stuff... i will have much shorter nails than yours cuz i work with typing and i can't type well with long long nails. Love your work thank you for posting

Wow I’m surprised, they look so awesome! I liked the outline idea, if you wanna do a fire design again you could follow the wavy pattern all the way up and I think it’d look more like flames. Instead of going half up like you were trying 😊

This is the first time I've ever been early on UA-cam! I've never heard of those wavy nails, I actually like them and I might try them out but in black or gray.
The shape of these remind me of icicles. If the base gel were a powder blue, you could have added a misty gray and milky white design, some iridescent glitter and maybe a holographic snowflake or two ❤
